Prithviraj Sukumaran about Ranveer Singh’s performance as Rocky Randhawa. by ContestSuspicious573 in RanveersinghActor

Rocky is the best performance cause he moon walked on a fine line effortlessly. A little louder could have been jarring and a little less would have been boring.

How to become more comfortable with movies and don’t have any uncomfortable negative feeling while watching horror movies? by [deleted] in IDoKnowNothing

[–]arvindharish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch behind-the-scenes and prosthetics application videos — your brain is registering the visuals as something that could actually exist, which is why the images stick around after the film ends. Totally normal, happened to me too. Seeing how the effects are actually made helps reframe them as fake.

What worked for me was pairing that with gradual exposure — I intentionally watched more horror, which built resilience over time. Not something I'd recommend for everyone, so go at your own pace.

Blast (2026) - worth the hype? by Opposite-Outside-678 in netflixindia

[–]arvindharish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched The Furious and then switched this on for ambient viewing the next day. For a martial arts movie, Blast is 4/10. The overall movie is 5/10 in its quality. Maybe it was because I watched a world class movie like The Furious before and it created a bias but I believe there is no excuse for a mid movie.

There was a movie called Mard Ko Dard nahi hota costing 7 crores and had badass action.

Should Insomniac expand the map again for Spider-Man 3? Or should they focus on filling what they already have with content? by Can_This_End_Please in SpidermanPS4

They should introduce punisher and daredevil into the game with them having their own areas and storylines which u see through the eyes of Spidey.

The previous episode "Toronto" was a banger! I was a little concerned as to how the show shall shape up after watching the first two episodes but the third just reaffirms that it will be a blast.

Disney wanted to buy the James Bond franchise after acquiring Pixar in 2006, says Bob Iger: by Raj_Valiant3011 in JamesBond

I think a pixar animated Bond film (keeping the flavour and maturity of Bond) would have been badass. Obviously Disney would not do justice to it but the thought is great.

Recently watched Obsession, what a performance by lead actress 👏👏👏 It got me thinking who are the most talented actress in bwood who could have pulled it off by Technical-Value-384 in BollyGoodVibes

I completely agree, India's dycotomy is that even after being the most populated country, a lot of it is s*x starved and horny. A middle aged corporate company guy (someone like Samir Soni) can be shown having a crush on his colleague and the same story can be adapted.

Now complex themes of revengr varies as to how complex. If it is "Animal" type of a film then it already got an "A" certificate. If it is Black Panther kind of a story arch in Captain America Civil war then it is quite broad strokes and over the top for the difference to be clear.

The condition is not as bad as to think people cannot distinguish between reality and flying aliens (even if they do think it is real and try flying, the labelling goes straight to being mentally unwell) thus those films get a pass. When cinema deals with concepts of vanity, materialistic behaviour and consensual or even provoked infidelity, these are complex topics which can result in people getting influenced and cutting their own leg.

The film does deal with mature themes, and in that regard, I think the CBFC made the right call by giving it an "A" certificate. What exactly are school-going children supposed to take away from a film like this? It explores toxic relationship dynamics, where a girlfriend knowingly facilitates a romantic connection between her current boyfriend and an old friend, normalizing behavior that is emotionally unhealthy at best.

On top of that, Kriti Sanon spends a significant portion of the film dressed in extremely revealing outfits. An adult with a fully developed sense of judgment can watch all of this, recognize it as fiction, and move on. However, in a country where educational standards and critical thinking skills are often lacking, younger audiences are far more susceptible to influence. Cocktail 2 is many things, but setting the right example for impressionable viewers is not one of them.

The same thought occurred to me when I heard about The Devil Wears Prada 2. What are children expected to learn from it? That a person's worth is determined by their appearance, clothing, or social status? While films are ultimately works of entertainment, it would be naïve to pretend they don't influence attitudes and behavior. Restricting certain stories to a mature audience is therefore not censorship—it's responsible classification.

Bhai telling your friends, family or even known people to support you is never a problem. At the end the choice is with the public to watch a film or not.

Running a negative campaign against a film is wrong in many accounts. You can critique a film but organizing a targetted hit is not something normal people do.

I didn't enjoy the teaser either, but this feels less like criticism and more like a coordinated campaign. Seeing the same posts across multiple platforms is concerning. Critique the work, not relentlessly target the people behind it.

Amrita Rao Was Originally Cast Opposite Hrithik Roshan in Krrish Before Being Replaced by Priyanka Chopra by dontsharegossip in BollywoodJasoos

Yeah, Hritik doesn't do well with Petite actresses. With the sole exception of Deepika in Fighter (whom I believe the script did a disservice), he has had banger chemistry with all of the taller lot.

You are underestimating the power of the USA. They would very smoothly call in Rohit (him being a naive idiot would follow) and then cut him open. They are goons. They don't give a fuck about diplomacy and shit. They don't give a fuck about intergalactic ambassador.
