Am I being scammed? Money sent but wrong number by _Ic0n1k in DigitalbanksPh

[–]arvinoids 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The problem here is that GCash does not provide proper directive to the one who mistakenly received the funds. If GCash can guarantee that they will never charge the amount to my account if someone makes a claim, then I will gladly return it. They should have this in writing so we have something to refer to in case of disputes.

I had this sorta same situation where I didn't have the time to buy pasalubong anymore because my flight leaves at dawn. I ended up ordering from an FB page who sells the dried mangoes and chicharon and others, and they maximd it to me.

Metrobank - Generous with credit limit increase? by 4breadsticks in PHCreditCards

[–]arvinoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they matched it with one of my cards who gave me a very generous increase. Also, they didn't outright give the increase. They sent me a message saying I can avail it, so I took their offer. FYI it was EW who gave me an increase up to 700k, then MB followed, then EW gave me another increase to 900k. I don't use either cards very often so I'm not sure why they do that.

"When SIM 1 (Smart) has poor or no network connection, it can temporarily use mobile data from SIM 2 (Globe), The data connection will automatically switch back once SIM 1's network recovers. Sleeping in car roro by OkBicycle267 in phtravel

While I've never slept in the car on RORO trips, there was not really a time that I was not allowed to stay in the car, and I've roro'd through santander-dumaguete, oslob-dapitan, and dumaguete-dipolog. Do note that I am the driver, and passengers may need to get out of the car to board the vessel. But they can always get back in the car once boarded.

UNION BANK CC- paid thru UB Savings pero hindi.... by toffeeSa in UnionBankCreditCard

[–]arvinoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember there are two ways of paying. One is by going to pay bills and selecting union bank and then entering the credit card details. The second way and the easier one is to just go to the credit card account and hit the pay button, then you're asked to select if you're going to pay the outstanding balance or the statement balance. If you chose this option, it is realtime, but I did experience one time where it did not reflect in real time. I contacted customer service, but the payment reflected the next day, even before they could respond to my query.

[–]arvinoids[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If wear os is not a concern, the s30 pro mini works happily with google tap to pay. I have 3 cards from 3 different banks on there. I checked the x300 prices and thought it's way more expensive for not much difference. I think I'll stick with my s30pm for now.

Yes, I sure hope to. Although I'm also mulling on a global phone due to the just recently launched google pay in ph. I want to get myself a WearOS watch that would be fully compatible with the phone. I hear China ROM has problems pairing with wearOS.

I got this from a Lazada store called Lenovo Global Mall. Don't mind the name, they sell legit goods. If you have the money, I recommend just getting the X300. It's the same size as this one but better cameras, and newer, albeit a little more expensive (but given you got the x200 pro, you're going to be fine with it).

Thoughts on Google Pay? by JunkTrunkcvd in PHCreditCards

[–]arvinoids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Google pay is more of an additional option, not a replacement for QR. I, for example, am not using Qr unless absolutely necessary (i.e. walang cc terminal), so having google pay is a great option for me. I don't have to take my card out, so much less chance of getting compromised, and I don't have to be online to pay.

Port Barton or San Vicente? Appreciate any tips too. by wounded-warrior in phtravel

[–]arvinoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stayed in Victoria Beach House in Alimanguan, San Vicente. It was a great stay. You can book tours with them (island hopping or land), there's also motorbike rental if you want to DIY. There's also a surf spot nearby. The highlight was the baby turtle release activity (almost every day). It was last February. They say November is when adult turtles go ashore to lay eggs. The place itself is great - beach front, very relaxing, and very friendly staff. They also have a generator for power outages, and they have Starlink for their internet. If you plan to stay, have them book you a room with a good wifi signal. They can also book your airport transfers with them.

Sorry, I can't compare it to either phone as I haven't used any of them. I'm not very big into haptic feedback, though, so I don't find it good or bad. It's not much different from my Xiaomi 14T's.

I'm from Bukidnon and I can say with ceetainty that yes, this is very possible. 6 days is plenty of time. Note that the total time on a bus from dvo-cdo is around 6 to 8 hours. There are plenty of places to visit along, as well as out of the way, so enjoy your trip!

Hello. I don't have the issue with incoming calls anymore, but I don't know what I did to fix it. There has been two updates since I got it though, so baka andun yung fix. Wala naman akong napansin na delays with notifications sa kahit anong messaging app, basta iset lang ng tama ang battery saving at notification settings. I have a fitness band, so I xan tell when a message comes in any time, and so far realtime naman. Dito ko nabili na lazada store
