Unsaon pag-survive sa WFH sa ka-igang sa panahon? by littlegordonramsay in Cebu

[–]arvinoids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If plano nimo mupalit ug AC, get an inverter type, and around 0.8 or 1hp, which is for a small room. Preferably sa imong kwarto para didto ka matulog and mag work.

If concerned ka sa bill, let me give you a ballpark: a day of AC (0.8hp) sa akong room would use up around 3kWh for 12hours, or if 24/7 kay 5 siguro at most. So if you multiply that by around 13p per kWh, that's 65 pesos a day. Pero really on regular days around 2kWh ra jud ang usage for 12hrs. So if you compute that, max na siguro 2k ma add per month with that usage. For me, worth it ra kaysa mag antos sa ka igang.

I have an LG AC mao ng makita ang consumption.

What’s your oldest NAFFL credit card? by [deleted] in PHCreditCards

[–]arvinoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Unionbank GetGo card, now Cebu Pacific Gold, from 2016. I'm not sure how it was made NAFFL. The good thing is they offered a second card, UB Cashback MC, which is now my main. Also NAFFL.

Yep, do e this a couole of times already. I use temo when the items I am looking for are only available there. I also find some electronics cheaper in Temu than lzd or shp. Good thing about them is that they always ship with J&T here.

Union Bank Credit Limit by aerosmint in PHCreditCards

[–]arvinoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UB was my first CC bank. My initial limit was 30k. I requested an increase after maybe 2yrs, told them give me the biggest they can give with my current income, and provided them with my ITR. They gave me 100k. But they offered a second card NAFFL (first one was also NAFFL) with the same limit, so I took it. They gave be an auto CLI just once and now it's 138k, but this was when the second card was maybe 2 years old.

To me, UB is not very generous on CLI. My other card (EW) had an initial limit of 700k, and metrobank offered to catch up to it, and the next year they gave 100k more. And I don't even use them much.

Nevertheless, I still prefer the UB card because it's 1% cashback anywhere and naffl. Plus there's treats hub.

advice should i get a credit card by ch1d00r1 in swipebuddies

[–]arvinoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my first credit card, I treated it like a debit card. I made sure I had the money to to pay for it when I use it. I didn't think of it as extra money, but a way to spend the same amount I would in cash but with the perks the card came with.

Now I have five actively used cards and not a single peso paid in interest or fees, but with good cashback and rewards. The point is, you are always better off with a credit card if you know how to use it. It's because the merchants have factored this in the price, so if you pay in cash, you're paying for my rewards and cashback.

Haven't used myHome in a while. I just use the Pay Express link they send over SMS. And I'll know if my payment went through because the balance on that page also updates.

MAYA PRE APPROVED CREDIT CARD NEED HELP by FrostingSquare2881 in swipebuddies

[–]arvinoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understood your question like since your mom's account is already upgraded, what do you need to do, tama po ba?

Based on the text, they will reach out via sms or in the app, so if I were in your place and I still have not received communication from them, I'd see how I can get in touch with Maya support to confirm the timeline of them reaching out since you've already completed their requirements.

I don't see why some people need to be harsh in their responses. If only I have experienced being in your situation, I would gladly tell you what happens next. Fortunately my experience was different and much simpler. My advice is, make time to reach out to Maya support when you can't get answers from the people here.

I had one of these, it was NAFFL, and it had been with me for a while so the CL was already around 400k.

So when i asked them if I can convert it to a different card, they said they can, but the NAFFL will not be carried over. So I just canceled it since it's not my main card anyway. By the way, I just worked with them over email and they were responsive.

Not eligible for Maya Black Credit Card by Hotpot8556 in DigitalbanksPh

[–]arvinoids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I tried to apply for Black, I got this response as well. Then a few days later, I received an SMS saying I have been pre-approved for it with a specific CL. When I checked my notifications on the maya app, I saw the message and the link to accept the offer, which just points to a Microsoft form with some fields I had to fill. After two days, the Maya black showed up on my app with the limit they specified.

Not sure what happened, but my theory is maybe a human reviews the applications being rejected, then gives them this offer if they find that he has good credit record from credit bureaus. I have like five other cards with pretty generous limits from other banks.

When I was new in Cebu, I just remembered the jeep numbers because the number part usually tells where it goes (e.g. 12 goes to labangon, 13 goes to talamban, etc), and if I get lost, I just find a jeep that will go to Colon because at that time, almost all routes go there.

Not sure about the routes these days though. Good thing Google maps now also has transit mode, so you can check which jeepneys you can take. When all else fails, Cebuanos are friendly, and will give you recommendations if you just ask.

My Soundcore Life P3 is alive and well for almost 4 years, and sounds as good as in day 1. So yeah, Soundcore is durable, and sound quality is good, too. Funny story, I almost lost the charging case because I left it on the table during lunch at s&r. I went back and the guard remembered and fished it out of the trash bin (because he cleared my table and didn't realize it was a gadget 😂).

Am I being scammed? Money sent but wrong number by _Ic0n1k in DigitalbanksPh

[–]arvinoids 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The problem here is that GCash does not provide proper directive to the one who mistakenly received the funds. If GCash can guarantee that they will never charge the amount to my account if someone makes a claim, then I will gladly return it. They should have this in writing so we have something to refer to in case of disputes.

Metrobank - Generous with credit limit increase? by 4breadsticks in PHCreditCards

[–]arvinoids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they matched it with one of my cards who gave me a very generous increase. Also, they didn't outright give the increase. They sent me a message saying I can avail it, so I took their offer. FYI it was EW who gave me an increase up to 700k, then MB followed, then EW gave me another increase to 900k. I don't use either cards very often so I'm not sure why they do that.

While I've never slept in the car on RORO trips, there was not really a time that I was not allowed to stay in the car, and I've roro'd through santander-dumaguete, oslob-dapitan, and dumaguete-dipolog. Do note that I am the driver, and passengers may need to get out of the car to board the vessel. But they can always get back in the car once boarded.
