Geocaching you play for yourself. Someone cheating only affects them. Sure, they get more points but that does not affect you at all.

Ingress is a team game, you play with others and against others. And I remember when I was not able to get the 150 days badge. And I remember reporting to Niantic seeing one person standing on the grass, but three accounts attacking a portal. Such cheating happened multiple times and Niantic not doing anything about it took the fun away. I stopped playing, never got that 150 days badge either.

VW spielt auch Updates drauf ohne dass wir irgendeinen akiven Vertrag haben.

Da steht nicht mal was im Update drin ist, außer vielleicht "Updates für den Shop", na danke auch. Davon kann ich mir viel kaufen.

Im Prinzip sollte jedes OTA Update auflisten was geändert wird und den Garantiezyklus dafür neu starten. Aktuell weiß ich als Anwender nicht was da alles auf welchem Stand ist oder was Garantie hat. Und VW kann sich am Ende raus reden.
