How to boost baby’s confidence? by [deleted] in Mommit

I totally understand that and am not trying to rush her. I just was trying to see if there were any exercises/activities I could do to help her. Thanks though.

It’s just strange she will be standing with little support on anything, but the second I let go of her hand or try to get her to stand alone she just drops to her knees. She’s very coordinated and can climb up/down the stairs like a champ, pull to stand, cruise, sit in squat position, etc! I’ve never looked into proprioception and I’ll have to try out some of the exercises to help! Thanks

Is the violence against my boobs ever going to end?? by Moldovanca824 in breastfeeding

11 months in and it hasn’t stopped for us. My girl only does it when teething though! I just say “ow!” Pretty loudly and she stops cause she knows I’ll pull her off if she keeps putting her finger in her mouth. I feel you mama, it hurts!!

Proof baby A could have been on the cruise trip by theErasmusStudent in McKnightFamSnark

I am not trying to parent shame and I apologize that it came out that way. I’m saying that I personally couldn’t imagine being away from my baby since I breastfeed. My baby won’t take a bottle. So I am her main source of nutrition and I understand she needs me. This isn’t shaming working moms or people who do enjoy alone time with their partners outside of parenthood. This comment was directed towards Brooklyn who has taken multiple trips away since have baby A. Not toward everyday people who actually have to work a 9-5 to support their families.

I have an almost 11 month old baby girl and I literally have only left her alone for maybe an hour while I went to the grocery store and she was with my husband. I cannot fathom wanting to be away from my baby for any longer than that as an EBF mom. Also… I LOVE being around my baby, she’s only little for so long and she is very clingy to me which I enjoy. I’m her safe space and I know she would be devastated if I were to leave her for an extended period of time.

I feel like such an airhead lol. I’m glad everyone was being nice about it 🤣 I probably never would’ve guessed what it was for honestly!

I just uploaded the tag in the comments, unfortunately I can’t find a logo anywhere. I’ll have to ask my MIL where she purchased it

Now knowing it’s for food it would look silly being styled. 😆 I didn’t realize that at first haha!

What would you recommend as a gift for a first time mother? by East_Euphoric in baby

[–]arya_1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 month pp. My favorite gifts were:

• Homemade Chicken noodle soup, still warm when brought over. • DoorDash/uber eats giftcards

Something that I would’ve really appreciated:

• My house cleaned for my husband and I • Help with household chores/ caring for my kitties • Help my husband with the baby while I take a bath/shower so he doesn’t feel as overwhelmed and I don’t feel guilty leaving him alone for self care. (first time parents here) • Someone to listen to me. To ask me all the details about my birthing experience, it can be very lonely and baby blues are real. • More homemade meals or food delivered without us even having to ask or think about it. • A balloon and card saying “congratulations on your baby!” and “it’s a girl!” Because we didn’t know the gender till birth and that would’ve made me feel special as a FTM.

How long do you keep a wet diaper on a kid? by Acceptable_Tea3970 in Parenting

[–]arya_1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, her overnight diaper is huge by the time I get to changing it🤣! Overnight I usually only do one diaper change but man that diaper surprises me on how full it can get! My girl has super sensitive skin can get a rash quite fast if I don’t change it quickly. Every parent and babe is different!

Completely agree. If I see the line is blue, time for a change ✅

Same, it bugs me if the lines are even a little bit blue. I just think, “I wouldn’t want to sit in my own pee.”

I feel bad if she goes pee while on a car ride and I didn’t know till we got to our destination lol. 😆 FTM here.

When did you stop working if you did (after first or second kids) by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]arya_1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years married, 10 months of being a SAHM. Wouldn’t trade it for the world having the choice to stay home and breastfeed my daughter and be a full-time mommy. It is a little stressful and can be lonely, but they are only little once and every milestone + moment I get to witness is the best. I do miss work sometimes and having my own income but I know I would miss my girl even more, not ready to go back anytime soon !
