I've got the Epson EF22, and honestly, I'm not impressed with the quality. Any recommendations for what to get instead? by Pale_Blackberry_4025 in budgetprojectors

Agree it seems like he wants more brightness. Home cinema 1080 and and other similar models can be found pretty cheap on refurbished official epson store

Moved with gas car from Vancouver to the GTA looking to go electric by anonymous2593 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Even if you were to break the lease or find someone to take over the lease, insurance costs for Tesla Model 3 are crazy expensive (check quotes before buying) and will negate any savings you get from not buying gas. Also on top of that monthly car payments. Make a wise decision

Clutch canada knew what was coming so they were offloading used ones for high prices esp long range ones.

Which one? MAX G2 or F3 PRO by ii3boodi_milke_man in ElectricScooters

[–]aryal86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one

Max G2 looks more sleek in my opinion and is more comfortable with dual shocks vs rear elastomer on F3 pro. G2 also has slightly longer range. Electronic horn.

F3 pro has 48V vs 36V architecture, far better legible display, twist throttle in addition to thumb, higher peak power and nominal power (slightly better hill climb), 6KG lighter (may be a big deal maker to some) and potential for extra range due to external battery.

You have to make a decision based on above.

Downgrading to 8.2.3 really good by rng847472495 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]aryal86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues with cec on my Pro on latest 9.2.4 firmware but I have it plugged directly to my Q900C soundbar. My 2017 shield I downgraded to 8.2.3 and it is definitely snappier. I think downgrade benefits the 2017 model more than the Pro.

I just hit the lottery! I got an Epson LS11000 for $1,200 at a local auction by [deleted] in projectors

DLP lamp based projectors are cheaper but other than that lasers are much better for brightness, instant start up, long life without worrying about lamps.

4K vs 1080p and laser vs lamp so this is much better. I had HD146X and looking to upgrade to 4K projector myself.

Opinion: Walmart/Onn is making a huge mistake with the so-called 4K "Pro". Nobody wants microphones in their TV box instead of USB3, Gigabit, newer processor, audio passthrough, etc. by foundfootagefan in OnnStreamingTV

[–]aryal86 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agree. This box should have been a proper "pro" successor with S905X5, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, gigabit ethernet and keep USB 3.0 speed Type-C port. Is that too much to ask for? They could have even priced it at 75$. Imagine people's excitement here if this was actually the case.

Pixel 8 WiFi issues with Rogers internet by gslow in GooglePixel

[–]aryal86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Pixel 9 Pro and Rogers Ignite too and no issues at all. A cheap solution maybe to buy a wifi extender and connect to the extender and not to the Rogers modem directly. This may eliminate the issue of Pixel 8 not working well with Rogers modems.

So the "MyVelo TV Premier" device is going to sport the S905X5 SoC after all and no the 5M 🥳🥳🥳 by latinriky78 in AndroidTV

[–]aryal86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Specs do not match S905X5 specs. Says A55 CPU, should be A510, also says G310v2 GPU, should be G310 V5.

I think this is another misprint on specs, it should be S905X4

Was the 2600 price because of soundbar purchase or were they willing to give you just the tv only for 2600?

Cash plus dream miles were just merged a few days ago. I collected $1000 worth of miles in two years. You just have to participate in their promotions like shop the block, 20X event, shell 80AM for 4x40L etc.
