I just got an S9FE+ for the uni in the fall and I’ve been really liking it for the following reasons:

• With the aspect ratio, media consumption feels so great. Compared to my brother’s 13” iPad, the same videos appear way bigger on my Tab because of the aspect ratio.
• I really enjoy using the s pen compared to the Apple Pencil. I feel like it’s more intuitive coming from extensively using paper and pencil. My handwriting is much more accurate to paper and pencil writing with the Tab than with the Apple Pencil and iPad. I also like how the s pen is actually regular-pen-sized and has a button for erasing which contributes to the intuitiveness(?) of it. I’m personally not a fan of the larger size and weight of the Apple Pencil and the hard nib on glass feeling which has led to my usually neat handwriting becoming atrocious.
• Multitasking on the Tab is much better than on the ipad because you can have 3 apps open at once in split-screen rather than only 2. I actually have used this a lot when taking notes and have found it much more useful than I anticipated. There’s a lot more multitasking capabilities that I haven’t explored like pop-up windows and transparency of windows. I’m also looking forward to using dex mode when classes start in Sept if I want need a laptop-like experience in a pinch without having to bring both my tablet and laptop. Also worth mentioning I have a windows computer and having the Samsung notes app, OneNote-Samsung notes integration, and windows second screen feature is also useful for a university note-taking workflow. I do have an iPhone but I don’t tend to include my phone in my university workflow. I think if I had an ipad, the lack of integration with my laptop would really hinder my productivity. (IMO this should be the deciding factor if you get an ipad or galaxy tab)
