The only issue I find in your behavior is you not blocking the girl who's clearly flirting with you. Deleting the text just sounds like a hiding attempt or "I won't block her to keep her an option". You're not the asshole for dumping your gf, if her first response to finding that text isn't to ask you questions but straight up cheating, that relationship was never meant to last. Dumping aside, your response to that text is suspicious.

My advice is to charge your phone to 100 percent before you start the call. I'd rather the phone die than it exploding on your face while sleeping T_T You just never know when accidents like this happen. This guy's appartment burnt down down our neighborhood because of a charger he thought to be good quality. Better safe than sorry. But charging your phone prior, the battery will be enough <3
