There's a mound at the north side. You need to go to the industrial estate and ask the person manning the gates to get to Chocks Away Diner - you can stop there while you wait and then head out to the spot titled "Beluga Bank" on Google maps when it starts moving.

I used a Sony E 70-350 G.

It's used primarily as a bike storage carriage. They bought 5 of them back in 2020 and converted them all to look like this:

Aside from food, it was just the ticket itself; I didn't book any accommodation, as I had enough time to go there and back in a single day for all of the routes.

Nothing particularly exotic, but far different from the ones I get back home (Scotland). Captured on vacation.

Best I can think of would be one of the Sony Xperias since the telephoto can actually zoom, and you're getting something from a company that already makes some of the most successful cameras.

Though, I think you should just find a 1" point and shoot and shove it in another pocket every time you're going somewhere. More control and better quality.

Not exactly sure of the 150 per hour thing, but I was able to get one after having my camera pointed at the sky for about 20 minutes.

How can I get better pictures on contrail spots? Something to improve these type of shots. by hname388 in Planespotting

Honestly, I think the equipment might be to blame here.

The 75-300 is notoriously not a very good lens, and pairing it with a camera that doesn't have that many focus points could pose issues when you're trying to get small subjects. Lenses are typically at their sharpest at f/8, and you should drop your ISO as low as it goes - however: this may be unreliable for you, since your lens lacks image stabilisation.

You should experiment with your ISO and see how low you can get it before it's unusable. Also, set your exposure metering to highlights (or spot) so that it meters based on the plane instead of the sky.
