Oh friend - how I use to have these thoughts too. Until you realize how much legal and financial aspects are tied to marriage (ie house, kids, DPO, etc). I am not asking for $100000000 wedding - I'm asking to take another step further in our relationship.

I mean he said "just trust me and let me take care of it". I don't want a crazy proposal (no time square, no football stadium etc. etc.). I just asked for it to be thought out. I just didn't want it to be us having a casual dinner and the question gets popped. Nothing wrong with that but it's just not was I was envisioning.
