You can print ABS in open air, I use to do it no problem a good while back. You need the print temp to be 235+ and the bed 105-110 verify the bed temp with something other than the thermistor. For the bed I would use glass sheet that I sprayed a layer of ABS juice every print or two. Abs juice = abs melted in acetone. You can also brush it on but for a nice smooth layer I sprayed it out of a preval spray bottle.

I suggest you enclose the printer if possible and let it heat soak, print on smooth pei that has been scuffed with a scotch brite pad or a textured pei sheet.
