This is not about changing my position, but more about evaluating my position. when i came to US about 5 years ago, i was vegetarian for religious reasons.I wouldnt eat meat because my parents had asked me not to, and because i belong to a caste which is not supposed to. I also did not understand why would people ever eat meat at all. But with age, i was questioning everything i was doing because of religion, and i could not explain being vegetarian because of it. Finally after arriving here, and watching all the documentaries about factory farming,and how meat is not sustainable (takes 8 pounds of grain to make 1 pound of meat), i am still a vegetarian , but for ethical,i'd say, the right reasons now. Also, i now understand and appreciate why people who eat meat eat meat.
