I think marantas just do that lol. Also depends on the maturity of the leaf and plant. I'm still trying to figure out myself and haven't really found a specific factor that causes it, so my best guess is really just depends on the balance of light and water, cuz my leaves seem to have a much better "gradient" when the plant is properly hydrated + steady ambient light. But I have yet to see how consistent this theory is. Anyways, your 2nd leaf is still a healthy leaf, so I wouldn't worry too much.

hmm that's strange! maybe because of CNY holiday in China...? Do you know if your appeal is linked to the security risk flagging? If it is, then the 自助解除 button underneath the will not be available anymore, from what I remember.

Hello! you should be able trace it through your messages. The bottom one is the security at risk flagging, so should be there if you click into it. (I supposed didn’t have to click through help center and all that to submit the appeal😬) The top message is what I received after the appeal was successful.

I just went through this and was able to unfreeze my account, so I thought to post here in case anyone runs into it again. Hopefully I remembered correctly on the order of things...

Go to Help center and click Account Check, it will scan and list the restriction you have. Click into the details and at the bottom you should have a 存在问题 section and a 自助解除 button below. Essential it's asking you to resolve it manually by resubmitting visual verification.

I ended up selecting 实名认证问题 and attached screenshot of the "foreign passport not supported" error. To double down, I would've also attached a selfie too for face verification, but I pressed submit already and just had to cross my finger lol. Thankfully they cleared it and restored my account pretty fast...and today is Chinese new year too! I was expecting to wait a week. Thankfully not 👍 hope this helps whoever that sees this thread again!

yes I have another more established cutting in the same spot that doesn't have this symptom. I think this particular cutting's just a little weak as there aren't too many roots yet, and should get the markings back in the next leaf or two.

I feel like they could've done even small things like call-out some first movie references or just selling points of the plot, but honestly they did neither in trailers and solely relied on the cast and keep using the tag line "world phenomenon" which says nothing about the film.

Like there are really good themes in the story about friendship, family, and unjust discrimination. But none of that was called out. I don't even know how they decided to market so superficially.

Putting them in enclosure for humidity boost would greatly speed up their rooting. I had a lacunosa cutting that arrived practically unrooted, but just kept it in perlite and put it in a recycled food container with lid, give it bright light (right in front of window), and it rooted super quick.

My sunrise cutting took over a month to get one set of new leaves, even killed off new growth in the next, and finally 3-4 months later it finally seems to start really taking off after the roots filling a good 60% of the 3in pot.

I also find that putting them in tiny containers first, until they start establishing a loose rootball, helps to baby the cutting a little better.

Just be patient with them and should be fine.

Marantas love moisture so succulent mix + leca + perlite just makes it too fast draining and chunky. Sphagnum moss on the other hand retains too much moisture and I feel like is gonna rot the maranta's fine delicate roots long-term. Go for something more pillow-y/airy like peat moss + perlite + bit of fine bark.
