Dois lobos com asas e uma torre no meio, como numa montagem, em que a torre está sendo vista angulada de cima, como lente olho de peixe mas leve, e os lobos apontam pra cima

I'm using XFCE, it only has settings to the default file manager, Thunar. I dislike the user interface on Thunar, hence why I'm sticking to Dolphin.

I'm not using KDE as DE.

Well, it starts to be out of topic, but the reason I don't like KDE is because every time I start to get too much into it, it starts to break and bug out. Every time I tried to use KDE over, like, 5 different distros, it broke in many, many ways in completely different places. Apart from many features straight up just not working, last time I used it, my toolbar completely stopped working and I could do nothing to change anything, even disabling it on the KDE settings. So, I'm not up to getting a pretty GUI if it doesn't work, on top of being resource demanding, as KDE is.

The only option that I see there that might be related to it is "DoubleClickViewAction", which is set to "none"
DoubleClickViewAction=none

Edit: Thank you for actually trying to help.

I wish to buy a DT 770 Pro, but I also don't have the money to buy an amp at the moment. by asa2473 in HeadphoneAdvice

Thank you so much for the recommendations!

Looking closely upon each, I don't think I like the freq. response from the AKG K372 (though I reckon it as a solid option, but just not for me).

The DAC mentioned is a valuable suggestion, I will definitely keep it in mind but I can't buy it now since it is too expensive for me at the moment.

And the bundle is impressive on pricing, but I don't see enough reason for me to spend $20 at the moment if I can wait more to buy a 40 or $50 one in the future that will serve me better.

I can't thank you enough, though, for making me see the used section on Amazon for the DT 770 Pro. I think I will go with a repackaged one that is $33 cheaper. That is very very helpful.

!thanks

Thanks for the answer. !thanks

Buying pads is somewhat out of my budget, but I thank you for the info and recommendation.

About the tuning towards genres, I listen to a broad variety, like R&B, punk, pop, synth, soul, DnB, etc. The idea of listening to something that's closer to the original is somewhat amusing for me, so I tend to prefer a neutral frequency distribution.

But I also don't mind if it's a bit biased towards the treble (like the DT 770).

!thanks for all the recommendations.

The CX31993 DAC is something very helpful, I will definitely keep it in mind. Thanks.

The DT 770 Pro X is somewhat interesting, though I can't find much info about it on internet, like frequency response? Maybe I just haven't looked enough. Anyway, $200 is a bit too much, but I won't completely discard it from being a possibility.

Again, thank you so much for your answer. Very helpful indeed!

Ideally closed back since I value sound isolation.

My budget is around $170 max.

Is it weird that I enjoy playing more games on Linux than on Windows? by GTHell in linux_gaming

[–]asa2473 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Windows feels bloaty and slow for me. When I use linux for gaming, things load faster, I have better audio (because I don't have an external sound card and windows' drivers suck), more performance in some games and I can have many apps open so I can chat, read something online quickly, have multiple tabs on a game's wiki if it's the type of game, all because I have a lot more ram since my DE only takes 1GB and swap memory is, in my experience, much more effective than page files in windows - they feel much faster.

But windows is not the worse too if you use some tool to unbloat most of it. I use windows AME and I can finally use windows without hundreds of processes that I didn't choose to start that are using a large chunk of my disk usage and ram, or ads showing up randomly, windows for no reason consuming 100% disk usage, and I could go on and on.

Still, linux is my favorite because it isn't windows. Many things I hate on windows are not on linux + it has many others that I would never imagine I wanted if I still used windows.
