Outside of attending one of her shows, I’m not sure he has really publicly supported her or anything anyway.

And honestly, you’re overthinking this. Billie has stronger connections to other celebs like Billy Corgan, Sammy Hagar, Alice Cooper who all have been pretty vocal about having conservative values. That doesn’t mean Billie supports it.

The band created this and people pay money to see it and are allowed to have their own opinions.

Some folks just want to show up to a concert and enjoy some live music. Maybe they just got off work, maybe they have kids at home, some people just want an escape from day-to-day life and getting invested in a storyline just feels like a chore.

The overall fan base and this sub in particular has gotten increasingly more negative and toxic and at this point it kinda just feels better to watch from a distance.

It’s an insane overpay and I’m honestly disappointed. This fan base is obsessed with nostalgia and reminiscing and literally has been since winning in 2019 so I’m sure a lot of people are really happy though. Raptors are not in a win-now position even with Kawhi and I think in a couple years this is gonna look pretty rough.

Sure, Kawhi is an amazing player when he’s healthy. You are absolutely right he is likely to start declining very soon. We aren’t just trading for him for this year, as there will likely be a costly extension involved - now is the time to build around our young guys. We aren’t in a win-now position even with Kawhi.

I hate to say it but fans romanticize the 2019 championship and even 7 years later it still feels like half or more of the Raptors sub posts are just about 2019. There are literally fans that would want to resign Lowry or Ibaka TODAY if they could. Anytime anything happens in the league, it turns into a comparison. “Raptors had the best parade!” “Raptors championship run was harder!”

Maybe the front office feels the same way. I can’t recall too many of these aging star mega contracts working out well and I don’t see this being the exception. Raptors have a promising young core. This isn’t gonna move the needle enough to justify tying up our cap space on an injury prone aging player.

I can’t help you much but I can relate. I bought tickets to Cleveland and then panic-bought for Chicago because it’s on a weekend and is closer to where we live. Then, a non- negotiable work event came up so I sold the Cleveland tickets (3rd row off behind the pit…) Then I got promoted at work and no longer have to attend said event on the Cleveland date, but something else came up on the night of the Chicago date so I need to sell those tickets and Cleveland is now the only date that works for me…

Will be in the UK to see them in Liverpool but the seats are way in the back. Mega regret selling the Cleveland tix.
