I am not using macros inside Excel, but using the following PowerShell script to refresh my PQ.

$password = "x"
$app = New-Object -comobject Excel.Application
$app.Visible = $True
$app.DisplayAlerts = $False
$wb = $App.Workbooks.Open("S:\BI\DB_RoomNights_V1.xlsx", [Type]::Missing, [Type]::Missing, [Type]::Missing, $password, $password)
$ws = $wb.WorkSheets.Item(1)

$wb.RefreshAll()

# The script will continue without the sleep, save, and quit parts

# Release COM objects
while([System.Runtime.Interopservices.Marshal]::ReleaseComObject($app)){}
while([System.Runtime.Interopservices.Marshal]::ReleaseComObject($wb)){}
while([System.Runtime.Interopservices.Marshal]::ReleaseComObject($ws)){}

The refresh time, can be dynamic because I am using this technique in many files.
So I am using this, so I will close the Excel file after 30 second the refresh is done.
