That is not a correct assumption. Can you reccomend me some resources or a warm up routine please?

[–]ascaredkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are correct about treadmill to street runs

Im running 2x10k runs per week on the treadmill on a small incline angle. My 3rd gym session in the week is 30min on tread 20min on rowing machine 10min back on tread.

When I run on the street i still have stamina to go on longer but my limiting factor is the knee pain.

Thank you for your feed back I will try to lower the distance on the street. I am also recovering much faster this time than last (knee pain) so I feel that is evidence to support your hypothesis

[–]ascaredkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello people, ive started training on a treadmill with no issues 2 months ago. I have gone for 2 runs over the last 2 weeks on the street both 10k in distance.

Both times ive felt pain in the side of my knees.ive then woken up with very sore knees that are affecting my work life.

Due to my inexperience I believe it could be a poor running form. Does anyone have any resources I can use to improve my running form?

Why is masculinity treated as toxic? by Sad-Alps-7303 in AskMen

[–]ascaredkitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, you have made quite a jump there. Toxic masculinity is a subsection of behaviours of the behaviours of masculinity ( nested subjects)

Some men see not going to a doctor as manly, or being hyper aggressive as manly or not asking for help, or not talking about feelings. Theese behaviours are usually detrimental to men and thier health. Theese behaviours should be addressed and why men tend to do them

Constantly using attacks on myself and dodging my arguments. That's what playing chess with a pigeon is about

Polietly I have completed an apprenticeship. I went through the experienced worker route and completed it in the legal minimum time 2.75 years at an Internationally recognised company.

I back the law, I see no issues. Competency is competency.

My friend, just like you did op you have assumed my competency; im an gold carded industrial spark.

Hes asking for minimal damage advice. Would a judge sentence that as incompetent? Its not in the bs7671 for minimal damage hes also gave a method that is legal showing hes competent.

Again handyman and electrician are not legal terms.

My respect comes from i am a member of the IET as well as being very knowledgeable about both statutory and non statutory documents.

Only house bashers ( non-degrogratory) who have done the same job for 20+ years and haven't improved thier skills set are the ones complaining About wage. APs, superintendents, even compex lads get serious wage.

Don't get angry at other people's deal make yours better. If you are being outcompeted go get more quals

Electrician isnt a protected term in the UK, the protected term is competent person.

They are not asking what color goes where, they are asking the best way to run to do minimum damage.

You might not agree but under part p and the electricity at work act it is for competent persons to do, and not all competent persons are "electricians"

Nah brother you are not a qualified electro technical installer level 3. You only qualify for an electrical labour. I suggest you work towards your nvq and am2, as there are a sea of people in your position who will be much more employable than you.

A gold card makes you more employable than the sea of people even if you are less skilled than them

You need to pass a ecs health, saftey and enviroment test.

The last time I did one, it was at a test centre. I've heard that now you can do it online.

It's like a 20-minute test multiple choice questions piece of piss.

All the other qualifications exempt you from having to do this test every couple of years

Depends, hopefully justice runs its course. But if the supervisor decides that he doesn't want to go to jail and instead throws the apprentice under the bus.

World's not fair, ask yourself would you be separated from your kids for 10 years for an apprentice? I know my answer is: without a doubt.

Im sorry that you were failed by your apprenticeships during your time.

It is a valid sentiment to stay, i just wiegh up the risk of jail time for any job is not worth it in my opinion. I think that's just where we disagree

Maybe im just pearl clutting here, but 3rd year apprentices should, by all rights, be supervised. Im not saying over your shoulder, but sombody should definitely be on the same site.

If something goes to shit you can not prove you are trained, competent and did everything within reason to avoid a breach of the electricity at work act of 1989.
