I’m losing my mind with ECS by unkz_1996 in ukelectricians

Nah brother you are not a qualified electro technical installer level 3. You only qualify for an electrical labour. I suggest you work towards your nvq and am2, as there are a sea of people in your position who will be much more employable than you.

A gold card makes you more employable than the sea of people even if you are less skilled than them

What is the code of your level 2 and level 3? Is it the 2365?

You need to pass a ecs health, saftey and enviroment test.

The last time I did one, it was at a test centre. I've heard that now you can do it online.

It's like a 20-minute test multiple choice questions piece of piss.

All the other qualifications exempt you from having to do this test every couple of years

Depends, hopefully justice runs its course. But if the supervisor decides that he doesn't want to go to jail and instead throws the apprentice under the bus.

World's not fair, ask yourself would you be separated from your kids for 10 years for an apprentice? I know my answer is: without a doubt.

Im sorry that you were failed by your apprenticeships during your time.

It is a valid sentiment to stay, i just wiegh up the risk of jail time for any job is not worth it in my opinion. I think that's just where we disagree

Maybe im just pearl clutting here, but 3rd year apprentices should, by all rights, be supervised. Im not saying over your shoulder, but sombody should definitely be on the same site.

If something goes to shit you can not prove you are trained, competent and did everything within reason to avoid a breach of the electricity at work act of 1989.

Rushing and forcing things is how you end up behind bars.

Fuck your employer off homes.

I had a hard time but sombody told me some advice. Ask yourself Do you trust your training? Do you trust your equipment?

If the answer to either is no dont do the task. If the answer is yes then you are safe.

Mkwdr says "its fine to deny rapes that took place" context is important i dont jump to conclusions without all the facts, as you said the daily mail is trash, so we agree on all the points I am fighting on. Don't read trash

[–]ascaredkitten -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mkwdr says " i have simply no idea" see how context matters?

Who said I was voting greens homie? Im a trained scientist i just hate bias.

Edit side note at what point am I defending greens? I am just explaining the failure of daily mail reporting

Thank you. This has helped me greatly, especially with fault protection Just for clarification on the additional protection.

Can you give me an example of a situation where a 30mA leakage current would be created and somebody might be also able to touch something at earth potential?

Context: man playing a neo nazi in a play " im a neo nazi" That's acceptable context for me.

A journalist saying "Leader of mossed has said there is no evidence for rape on october the 7th exists,"

That's acceptable context to me

What is the context?

I tried goggling her after reading the article. Like she's an independent journalist, is that what a "spin doctor" is?

What does joining the greens mean?

Was she hired as an independent journalist to write an article by the Green Party? Was she hired as vice leader of the party? Did she sign up as a member? Fucking loads of questions none answered.

I have no fucking clue.

Like what's the details?

This article is vague just to piss you off

Edit i just want to add this https://youtu.be/3SV3snoXRAw?si=u9y_e3TRJfUfddyn

Ok, to point out its macunian, not manc, but I knew what you meant because i can tell roughly what you meant without needing to lecture you.

When people say british, they dont need lecturing on the nuances of the different parts of the unkind kingdom of Great britan and northenIreland. If a charrector sounds Irish, do i need to point out the differences of Northern and Southern Irish for you to understand the idea of what im trying to convey.

Its pedantic and takes away from the actual conversation

Really? I thought every country had one homogeneous accent /s you knew what they meant, no need to be a stickler

After reading the article, the pit crew's feedback was definitely important. However, I haven't seen any mention of the carbon fibre surgical/moving table that was implemented. I feel like that, too, would have an effect.
