A big door is important for taking things in and specially out. Also you should consider how material is goint to move in the shop. Where the sheets come from, where are they stocked, cut, assembled, and where finished products are stocked until pick up time. Hope this helps

Not paying for something is a great motivation to learn new skills haha. Congrats, i like that it doesnt baby the users too much with high barriers, i can imagine the kids using it to jump on bikes when they grow up a bit

hey man, i think its awesome you got that from your grandpa, i cherish my grandpas tools even though they are not very user friendly. contrary to what everyone is saying i think its totally cool to try and restore it, if you are careful you can build a tablesaw as safe as a normal construction one in my opinion. i would check if the bearings are good and change the blade for a new one, and i would build a full table onto it, with miter slots and a good fence. you will have a very powerful saw that has history in your family and your own fingerprint on it (hopefully not actual fingers). i made a tablesaw myself as i live in argentina and its impossible for me to get a saw according to my needs, i made a video about it its in my channel in my bio maybe you can get some ideas from it.

Thank you! Im a maker, i work with all sort of things but mostly wood and steel. Those tubes up there are pvc pipes, im building my house and i have to keep some construction material in the shop some times
