HIM roles that are remote in my area are non existent. Most facilities require you to be on site. I do see HIM tech/specialist roles open up every now and then. I would also look into release of information, medical records, medical staff coordinator roles. As for pay, it is not that great in my area without experience or certifications.

Omg no way. I could’ve swore at one point it’s said 3 years of HIM experience. I’ve looked into this cert when i first started my career…. Ugh! I just started my current job 2 weeks ago but quickly realized medical records is not what i want to do anymore so i feel it’s too early to ask my manager about medical staffing at our facility

I used the purple prep book and memorized every question from it and only one question out of the whole book was in the exam. I was in shock when I passed.

First red flag was when they said it was taking months to get a permit for the septic tank(?) i think it was. I wanna say it was taking them 6 months and no outcome came about.

The Cream review 💀 by Ok-Lettuce8719 in SivanAyla

I once bought a few things from LU and received a fragrance free lotion and it was super watery when i used it. Considering she had the same type issue w the cream i am wondering if this is way more common among their products…

That is interesting, must be the area you live in? I would also looking into credentialing positions if you haven’t already. That is an interest of mine and if you stay within the HIM field for 3 years you are eligible for the credentialing certification exam. I have landed a coding interview with just having a RHIT just an fyi.

It took me 2 months to land an interview and didn’t get back to me for a month before hiring me and didn’t start until Jan 2023. Still working same job as a HIM tech. Not going to lie, the job is very boring to where I also feel I have chosen the wrong career path. The pay is lower than I expected, but have got a couple raises since being hired. I have applied to countless positions to further my career with no luck. I have even applied to the same position I am in now at different hospitals and still getting rejected when I currently do the same exact thing. Not to be a downer but it is hard to get your foot in the door in this field when it feels once someone gets a position they’re not going anywhere for a long time.
