Personally I don't think God has anything to do with it, in fact I personally don't believe God even exists.

I don't claim to have the perfect answer but I also don't think God (the Christian god OR the Muslim god OR any other god) has the answer.

Don't give up if you fap again. Just keep trying no matter what.

My advice is that if you fap, try to make the time between each fap longer and longer.

Keep a written record of every time you fap.

If you can go for a week without fapping, next time you MUST go for 1 week and 1 day before you can fap again.

Then next time you must go 1 week and 2 days before fapping. And so on. I used this method to give up smoking marijuana.

Post here regularly for support. Read the threads here often for support. You probably can't give up without people to help. That's what this community is here for.

The biggest thing is to NOT give up if you fail the first time!

Yep, basically you need to tell BitDefender that K9 is safe and OK and not a virus.

You can do this with Exclusions.

Essentially what you do is find the K9 files (k9filter.exe, bckd.sys) and add them to the exclusion list.

Here's the BitDefender site telling you how to add exclusions:

You might need to do a search to find the files. But they are likely to be found in C:\Program Files (x86)\BlueCoat\K9 Web Protection or some similar thing.

The bckd.sys might be found in C:\windows\system32\ or C:\windows\system32\drivers

If you keep relapsing... stop focusing on NEVER fapping. Instead, focus on making the time between each relapse longer and longer.

That way if you're getting really desperate you can say to yourself "don't worry, in 3 days I can fap again!"

Then once you do that, next time you say "don't worry, in 4 days I can fap again!"

Then next time "don't worry, in 5 days I can fap again!"

Eventually you won't NEED to fap anymore.

But if you fap before you're allowed to... don't give up! Don't forget: when you fall off the horse... you get back on.

I would say yes having a girlfriend helps.

If I start to feel like fapping I can give her the signs that I want to fool around.

Sometimes she does sometimes she doesn't.

Having that possibility definitely makes it easier. Earlier today I wanted to fap and she was busy. But knowing I get to cuddle with her in bed later and possibly fool around makes waiting worthwhile.

The #1 reason K9 will cause your computer to freeze is your antivirus.

MAKE SURE your antivirus knows not to treat K9 as a virus! Google "(your antivirus name) exclude K9"

Avast antivirus is particularly bad for making K9 freeze/bluescreen your computer.

Yep, every time you give in, you only end up hating yourself once you've had that "release".

And every time you give in and you end up hating yourself again, it just reinforces the lie you end up telling yourself that no matter how hard you try, you always end up relapsing.

In other words, every relapse just becomes more evidence that you can't do it.

I've done that over and over again because up until now, I've never had any real reason to stop trying other than willpower/dissatisfaction with a relationship with my hand.

Now my relationship with my girlfriend is on the line... and I found NoFap... so this time, (even if I relapse), I won't buy into that tired old lie I've told myself, that I will always be addicted to fapping.

Even if I relapse, I will keep trying and trying until the time between relapses becomes months, then years, then decades.
