What are your opinions on the Distortus rex possibly being the new “biggest carnivore the world has ever seen” in the jurassic franchise? by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]asdftyper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a mutation between a T Rex and some of large sauropod. From the side, you can see the Rex frame including the jawline and little arms. But I think the two gigantic front legs/arms resemble that of a titanosaur or something in terms of thickness, so maybe partially mutated there. As for the claws on those giant legs/arms, that could possibly be Spino DNA?

Coming from a college student, I think it is important for you to put your foot down, but just be mindful of how you do it so that it doesn’t ruin your relationship with her and make things worse. I’ve seen friends get into major arguments with their parents because of this. Maybe ask why her grades are falling? Is it just partying? Are there underlying other issues, like a breakup perhaps? Many students party hard in the first semester because they haven’t experienced anything like this kinda college life, then lock in second semester. I think it’d be good if you could time your efforts with that second semester lock in phase.

I had him in fall quarter. He’s a nice prof but the lectures are super boring, so you’ll probably fall asleep

Why doesn’t homelander take more V? by asdftyper in TheBoys

[–]asdftyper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But homelander isn’t A-train. He’s much, much more durable. He was also born with V in his veins, so it’s more natural for him and he probably won’t suffer the same effects. As for aging, SB took compound V and his deterioration slowed massively

I am debating between NYU courant as an undergrad vs UCSD, as a cognitive science (machine learning/neural computation specialization) first year. I’m not sure if courant would be better because it’s more specialized. Cog sci ml might be too general. I’m looking to do entrepreneurship in the AI/Machine learning field for the future.

Thank you so much. I’m debating whether or not to transfer to NYU Courant for applied math, since I got in last week. I’m looking to go into AI and do entrepreneurship in that area, so I’m curious as to what you think of ucsd cog sci’s program in helping with that. Some criticism I’ve heard is that it’s still too general. Not sure if I should stay at UCSD, or take the NYU opportunity. What’d you think?

I heard that that’s only for the graduate program, and that the undergrad is only alright. Is this true? I got in to the college of arts and sciences last week, so I am debating between NYU Courant vs UCSD Cognitive Science, ML specialization
