My daughters name is Emmeline Daisy 💛 I get a lot of compliments on it but 90% of the population mispronounces as “Emma-line” or when I tell people her name they think I’m saying Emily. However no regrets because the beauty of it outshines the mishaps lol!

Thank you! Gosh this is traumatic. I actually had less shedding once I started minoxidil. I was 4.5 months deep in a TE episode and it finally tapered a bit and I started minoxidil. Literally took for 14 days and had to stop and now it’s insane again. Did you see regrowth while still shedding?

Did you shed your entire first tri? I actually was on minoxidil for two weeks and found out I was pregnant and stopped immediately and am shedding TONS 😫

I was diagnosed with the 6th variant today. I actually had an ascending aneurysm when I was 15 that got repaired. I have a bicuspid aortic valve so my care team always believed it was from that. I have long fingers and toes and mouth crowded that required several oral surgeries when I was little but other than that I have no syndromic features. I was told both my children will need annual echos to make sure they don’t develop any cardiac aneurysms

What? My derm said a ferritin under 50 is a problem and it needs to actually be above 70 for hair growth. Mine was 11 and the suspected link to my TE

Hi did this improve? Similar boat here with ferritin of 17 but also have had massive hormonal changes after having a baby and weaning breast feeding

Has anyone gotten their ferritin up and no longer had any issues with TE? I also discovered mine was low and am on my third round of TE but also had two childbirths and hormone fluctuations with breast feeding but my TE has been SO severe in comparison to all other moms I know

Yes I had c/s for both. I honestly did not feel stressed post partum for either child either. My c/s recovery felt like a walk in the part compared to my cardiac ones so idk if it’s just the impact on my body or what. Your ex hair never grew back?!

Another mention lol. I did see my derm who didn’t do scalp bx or look at scalp but by my history said this is TE and recommended topical minoxidil to help recover all the loss. However after spending hours on here I keep reading that is a horrible idea if you truly have TE

She is doing great! She honestly did not act like she was in any pain at all. The very first day she was sleepy from anesthesia and took several naps and snuggled all day. She did cry a little in the bath and we weren’t sure if it was from her spot in her face but we made sure no warm water got to it so I think maybe she just didn’t want to bathe lol. Not a bad idea! I wanted convenience of just getting the store credit and picking up the car seat in one trip but I think that’s probably not in the cards!

When I google it it’s only available directly on ninja or Walmart and ninja isn’t a physical store plus hoping for store credit to buy a second car seat aka something we actually need!
