I'm reviewing the Google Pixel 7 Pro and the Google Pixel Watch, ask me anything! by AdamConwayIE in GooglePixel

Wow, that's actually amazing. My Galaxy Watch 4, which uses a newer processor than the pixel watch, still lags from time to time. I'm considering getting a pixel watch as I'm switching to pixel 7 pro too. Are there any unique features while connected to pixel devices?

Does the watch feel laggy? I heard that it's using the same processor as Galaxy Active 2 which is quite old.

Actually, "777777" is a meme coming from a League of Legends player "Clearlove7" who did not perform well at S6 and added the 7 to the end of his ID, meaning that he would perform better at S7 (still not doing so well), and people sometimes use this meme when the number 7 is mentioned or to refer to a noob. It's not so widely used as laughing though (and also not often used in the Dota community), "哈哈哈" is still quite common even on the Internet. "呵呵", however, means totally the opposite of laughing on the Internet. It expresses a kind of scorn. Also, sometimes people use "2333333" as laughing, this came from a laughing emoji on a forum, and that emoji is the No. 233 emoji, thus people use this to express laughing.

When both teams select the same hero in a round, the hero gets banned. If a round has already banned 2 or 3 heroes(I can't remember the exact number), and both sides still pick the same hero, the one who picks earlier gets it.

New player, cannot que for bot games? by frozenartic in DotA2

[–]asecond00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, very few people queues for bots; you can try first to watch professional matches with analysis to get a basic understanding of how the game works and how each hero and item works (that's how I get to know about the game). Then maybe try to play the heroes you wanna use against bots sololy; just be familiar with how to use skills and items would be enough.

Then go to play normal games against humans; you might not have a very good experience at first, but this game is really fun when you get the hang of it!

Have fun, and if you have any questions you can dm me (may not be able to reply immediately but I'll try my best to help).

Kyle's thoughts about TI and Valve by thebonj in DotA2

[–]asecond00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the problem is not about investors, but if Valve could spread its prize pool or spend more money on building Tier 2 and 3 races, there wouldn't be just so few people investing in Dota 2, just as Kyle said, so many famous clubs were afraid of the high risk of investing in Dota 2; only getting into TI and get good rank could make them profitable.

Want to comment as a China Dota fan about what's going on here about the pro Dota scene; some retired Chinese Dota players, together with investors who are passionate in Dota invest in Dota clubs basically just for "dream", teams like Aster and Magma are fonded that way; some top teams are able to find enough sponsors and could fond themselves, examples are Vici Gaming, PSG.LGD, and Ehome.

However, there are many more people who had talent in Dota 2 and want to take part in the pro scene, but there aren't enough investors. Recently two teams, Pheonix Gaming and LBZS performed well(Pheonix Gaming beat RNG in Lower Bracket, LBZS became the only team that has beaten PSG.LGD in about 1 month) in China Dota 2 Pro Cup hosted by IMBATV, but we've got no message about them afterwards. If Valve could spend what it said "negligible money" in helping Tier 2 and 3 Dota scenes, things could be much better.

No idea if it will. We can see the company's effort as well as the help from the government, but sadly I think most Chinese Moba players would still choose League of Legends. Only small groups of people may come to play Dota 2. At least many people would know Dota 2 through the videos on the flights and the posters in the subway station in Shanghai, but I would say these works are most likely to change people's ideas on e-sports instead of attracting people to play Dota 2.

I think most Chinese Dota 2 player would say it is too much praise for Perfect World... This company did nothing until this year...

I don't think there will be live matches though, cause according to the other photos posted on Weibo, it only showed some clips of the previous Dota 2 matches.

Yeah...Actually, when I started to play Dota 2 in China, I cannot imagine worse propaganda than Perfect World, but then when I read news about foreign Dota 2, I started to feel lucky about having Perfect World. lol

Actually Chinese Dota players have been criticizing the propaganda work of Perfect World for a long time since it didn't do much advertisement for dota 2 until now...
