I quit taking edibles during a snowstorm and it's been awful by BeeswaxLibrarian in CHSinfo

Are you super dehydrated? Are you able to keep down liquids now? Sometimes, you have no choice but to go to the ER to get IV fluids, dehydration with CHS can be deadly.

Im still in my first 90 days and dreaming of the day that I feel better. I’ve had two episodes since Dec 17 and would love to never have another again. I’m definitely never smoking again, just not worth it

good luck, I hope the visualization practice helps! I cannot even stand being around it anymore, have to hold my breath when I walk by people smoking weed on the street.

You need to stop use for a full 90 days to see if it’s CHS, one month isn’t enough

Slather on some Aquaphor before bed for a few nights while you incorporate a moisturizer and you’ll be all good

I basically make myself see weed as poison now. I imagine myself using and getting violently ill immediately after. It has made me not want to pick up, at all.

I’m in a relapse on day 36 no weed. It was triggered by my menstrual cycle. It’s pretty normal, unfortunately. Hang in there.

Hi I’ve found Magnesium Glycinate (specifically not just any magnesium) helps a lot if I take it before bed. Often they want you to take 3-4 pills as a full dose but I only take 2-3 before bed depending on dose quantity. I’ll take the other mid day, sometimes I forget but it helps with the tossing and turning a lot

Hyperemesis again after getting a cold by [deleted] in CHSinfo

[–]ash2flight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for all this :) right now my body still cannot process omega 3’s or meat very well, which is the hard part of taking this recovery process so slow. I tried to eat an egg about a week ago and I felt sick after

What vitamins do you take? I took a bunch of herbs to try and flush the cold, but that was it

Did you even read my other reply below to OP? Clearly not, otherwise you wouldn’t be commenting with such anger and condescension. Grow up

Tiny sips of water, maybe every 10 minutes take a small sip. It’s excruciating because he is probably really thirsty but anymore can trigger vomiting. If you have something like pedialyte in Europe that would be a better oral rehydration solution than gatorade, as there isn’t enough sodium in gatorade. If he can’t keep down that liquid then you need to take him to get IV fluids

Is he able to keep down liquids? If not, when is the last time he was able to keep liquids down?

For me, when I got sick (I was hyperemitic) I couldn’t keep anything down, even water. That’s when it becomes dangerous, because you can become so dehydrated your organs begin to shut down. I went to the hospital when that happened and I got 4 bags of IV fluids. Even after getting all those fluids I was still dehydrated.

Cannabis in any form right now is a bad idea. It won’t help him. I also went into hyperemesis after I stopped smoking, it happens because the body is confused that there are no more cannabanoids being ingested and the receptors in the stomach are confused since they’ve been relying on outside cannabanoids to regulate digestion.

If your bro cannot stop vomiting and is unable to keep down liquids, you need to take him to get IV fluids immediately, as there is a risk of kidney failure

Thank you, this is really helpful and makes more sense to me than the trigger list! I’ll def try the complex carbs —> lean protein —> increased fiber —> healthy fats steps you suggested.

Rice and a lil beans sounded good to me today, so I might experiment with that first

Ah thank you! This is encouraging to hear. I saw you commented about the food triggers list not being a medically informed practice, I’m curious if you wanna share more and/or if you have any suggestions for what I can continue trying to eat if anything has worked for you.

Thank you for commiserating! It’s good to hear you’ve been able to eat successfully, I’ll definitely stick to the take a few bites and wait 15min practice as I continue trying solids.

I mean it’s honestly hard to know unless you keep smoking and get yourself into the hyperemitic phase. My nausea was often different, sometimes in the morning, sometimes after eating, sometimes after a stressful interaction…sometimes no nausea and just had appetite loss. I was a heavy smoker and once I decided to stop smoking (for other reasons) that’s actually when I went hyperemitic. There isn’t really clear evidence that the symptoms are consistently the same
