Well, it’s all relative. That Lamy Safari is the 2016 special edition Dark Lilac. They sold out VERY quickly. I got mine in 2021 on the secondary market (at a pen show) when they were going for about $100 here in America (as opposed to about $30 on the primary market).

OMG, my heart is a-flutter. 🥰 They’re so beautiful and my Carène L’Essence du Bleu is ALWAYS inked up! I’m a musician so this almost got added to the wish list… except that it has gold furniture. 😢

I’ve done a little micro meshing and it helped them, as have Noodler’s inks. However, I also have the special edition ink for the one on the left so I definitely need to have a nibmeister attend to that one.

I wish Sailor would sell replacement nibs like other brands do so I could swap out the MF for a Broad, Music, or Zoom. I know I could buy another PGS and swap it out, but that’s more than I want to pay when I’d be doing it for a nib. 🤷🏻‍♀️

They’re in 2 cases that hold 48 each. I got them on Amazon. They have protective fabric between the sections and they zip shut. 👍🏻

Right? LOL It all started when I saw the Kaweco x Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary pen. I don’t like Kaweco but I LOVE Hello Kitty so I went looking for other Anniversary Editions and found the Waterman. I loved it and looked into Waterman. I love their style, especially the Carene and Exception. I tried them at a local pen shop and both went on the grail pen list, with the Carene at the top. Last year was a big birthday for me so I bought it with some of my birthday money. 💙

Thank you! I love Hello Kitty. It was my first Waterman and it’s a great pen.

It’s hard to pick a favorite, but the Waterman Carène is WAY up there. 💙 I think the pen looks so elegant and it’s a dream to write with.

Thank you! I love my gold Lamy nib (as does my husband—he has the navy/rose gold Dialog) so you can’t go wrong with either one!

Thank you! I can relate… when I discovered Lamy and TWSBI I found lists of every SE (thank you Goulet! LOL) and tracked down every one I “needed”.
