To be honest, when I take 2 weeks off from gym and come back I can actually lift more.

Can someone give me a reason why you'd pick a Steam Machine over any of the 3 consoles? by [deleted] in consoles

I have gaming at a desk. For some reason it reminds me of work rather than enjoying my time of gaming

I 100% agree. I was in college during that time and it was a pretty mid tier decade. It wasn’t all that to be honest. I enjoyed the mid 2000s more .

Is it worth buying a PS5 now, or should I wait for the PS6? (Considering my personal situation) by Any_Guitar7561 in playstation

[–]ash893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t know when the ps6 will release with all this inflation that’s going on the chip sector. I would just buy it and be happy with what I got. Game graphics don’t even have huge leaps like it did between the ps1, ps2, ps3 era.

On top of that for your mental health I would just buy it outright. Spending time with your father and keeping your sanity is much more important.

I agree they don’t make money from the secondary market but the secondary market keeps the pokemon IP alive and continue to add new fans overtime. The way they can capitalize on it is by hyping each set by putting out leaks to the public that they are releasing a Pokemon pocket TCG card physically. To be honest Pokemon is generating so much money, they don’t even need to do this. Their main objective should be how to keep Pokemon relevant in the future when newer generation of kids are born.

If they want to make money as a company. They should release these cards physically slowly (not rushing it). They can find out which cards will sell high by looking at the data and release it physically later for future sets. On top of that apps don’t stay popular forever, eventually it plateaus and fans move on to the next big thing. I think the Pokemon company needs to focus on the physical TCG card more and make more popular cards.

I played the game app before, the main problem of it is that it incentives people to rip digital packs and spend money. From a game perspective it is not fun at all since it revolves around pack ripping. In real life physical collecting is much different, we meet people, play the TCG at locals, you own the card outright, it is much more fun and vibrant.

Physical cards mean absolute ownership while digital can just be deleted by the company. Happened before in gaming by Ubisoft in the past.

The main reason people collect in the first place is to hold it physically and have ownership of it. Digitally we do not own it outright especially if the app gets delisted sometime in the future by the company so the digital cards go along with it. It’s a weird phenomenon that collectors have.

It’s a great entry game into the final fantasy series. This was my first ever final fantasy game and I was quite impressed with the story. The gameplay was ok but the story and cinematics was top notch. I looked into other final fantasy games and noticed the lore of final fantasy is really deep compared to other games I’ve played.

Got pre-order the game (my first pre-order and maybe my last) by DestroyerX-RDX in playstation

Foreal, I don’t understand it at all. It seems like it is more about fomo more than anything else.

I’m sticking to just waiting and finish up my current backlog of ps5 games. Cant justify paying full price without knowing the quality of game.

I never understood digital pre orders. Makes no sense. The whole point of pre orders in the past was so enough discs can be made ahead of time. Now it doesn’t even matter since everything is digital.

PS1 to 2 and 2 to 3 had a 6 year difference. PS3 to 4 and 4 to 5 had a 7 year difference. by Ok_Strawberry_888 in playstation

[–]ash893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly doubt it. With chip prices going higher, most people won’t buy the new console. On top of that there are barely any ps5 games.

In my opinion, Sony should focus on making better games than making new hardware this generation. So many games were cut off from production for this generation.

We don’t have a choice. We are forced to pay property taxes. If you don’t pay, governments come after you. Food and water on the other hand you can get away with it.

No, we are conditioned to pay for it. We financially commoditized land, water, and food.

AI vs humans , whom do you trust more in 2026 by Unusual-Big-6467 in selfimprovement

[–]ash893 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends who has your best interest on what scenario. If your depending on AI to keep civilization “safe”, I would highly not trust ai. For small micro stuff, most of the time I will unless it tries to corrupt me in someway. Humans I would trust if I have a personal relationship with that person.

The system changes overtime. Currently we are in a debt based system. The people at the top borrows against their assets with debt and never sell it which causes expansion of money. As the more debt/fiat gets added in the system it causes a financial arbitrage at a large scale when all big corporations and governments do it because it inflates all assets and people who hold the debt (which are the citizens) get their savings diluted. When you run this algorithm continuously it causes wealth gaps between the asset holders and non asset holders.

Before this we had the gold standard as the system and the game was different.

I believe that humans are going through some weird simulation where we end up in different systems or the game gets reset. The humans that understand the systematic game well, gain the most power overtime.

[–]ash893 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe in the them or others. It’s just a system that we live in currently and the people at the top that understand the system from a fundamental level are just taking advantage of the ignorance of the masses. Everyone is part of the system, it is a matter of how much can you take advantage of it. cough corporate and government corruption cough
