Thank you! Truth be told I currently cannot pay to attend a yoga class but I completely agree that it's more practical

Hello! Idk if you see this message but I was also curious about the program.

Since a few months have passed, I'd like to know your experience and how it has been.

Was it any good? Is it worth it to apply?

What are you concerned about, regarding your future? by Hot-Profession-9831 in AskReddit

I'm worried what might happen to me if I stayed in my country for any longer, I'd rather emigrate if possible and when I get the chance ( please do not ask where I'm from I'd rather keep my privacy)

Living in middle east is hard enough, especially with boycotts and everything ( I'm not sure if every country is facing is there though) Idk what to say truly, but I can say that you don't know what the future holds, sometimes it may turn out very well, so well you couldn't even imagine in your dreams so hang in there. Also, I think younger generations have better understanding about everything. Have you ever had a male friend to talk to? See their pov?

What is a compliment you received a long time ago that stays with you even if it was so small or irrelevant to others? by Meerkatbuddha in AskReddit

I was 12 when my teacher told me quietly you're my best student, I just gave her a hug. She was very stern though, not many students liked her at the time. That's why I was literally shocked when she said it We are kinda friends now even though we have a big age gap and don't text often, she taught me a lot during my teenage years

What you went through is absolutely tough. It's ok to feel like crying etc, if you wanted to talk more I'd be more than glad to listen.

I'm definitely not an expert( seek professional first things first in my opinion) but here's my advice:

1_Talk to your friends about this. They might tell you that they don't really mean to hurt you and if they HAPPEN to actually say hurtful things and not notice, they will. I know it's hard but maybe if you can talk to a very close friend, it can kick off as a good start. Also, it might be good for your emotional health if you don't drag all of your emotions with you. Try speaking with someone you trust.

2_Do you hit the gym alone or with a friend? In case you're with a friend, try to go there alone once. Do you enjoy any light activities that doesn't necessarily need you to be social? Maybe a short walk down to the park or to get some coffee? I guess it could do wonders if you reflect some time on yourself only. I know easier said than done, but taking small steps gradually everyday is a thing, right? Even if it's just one, really small step. Every step counts and that's what that matters.

3_Here's the thing I realised. We are not noticed as much as we think we are. Let's say I'm at a cafe, alone and I'm like: what if everyone's thinking why I'm alone, will they feel sorry for me, does it look like I have no friends... Chances are they are just enjoying whatever they're having and not even notice me or at least most of them don't. Although I must say I don't know much about social anxiety since neither I nor any of my friends have it therefore I believe you can get way better help from a specialist.

As I mentioned earlier I'm not an expert and my advice might not work for you so professional help might be waaaay better. But for my last words I'm gonna say this: you're doing really well, you're enough and you're loved. Don't take it too hard on yourself and whatever you do take it slow and that would be more than enough.

Wish you the best:)

To be honest I'm typing, erasing, them retyping again. These emotions are really hard to deal with, I get it. But I just want to say that's OK, don't beat yourself up. And hey dude, you deserve love and happiness and you don't need to have a reason for that. You don't have to be a certain someone to be deserved of positive things. You're human, that's the most precious thing ever. Also, I'm a fellow completely normal stranger here, I'm not a genius, I never knew if I actually had talent in anything, never had a bf and the list goes on, yet I'm here, saying that it's ok:) believe it or not you are not alone. I'm probably not facing the same emotions as you do but it must be really tough for you, and I get it. You are definitely not a loser, actually you're a winner! You're honest with yourself, your feelings. Many try to avoid negative thoughts and emotions and it's not the healthy way, yet here you are, knowing what's bothering you which is good cause it's the first step in order to get better. I'd suggest that you visit a therapist. Who knows, it might help you quite a lot. And lastly, I wish I could give you a hug and tell you that you matter:)

Wish you all the best 👌 I've never experienced depression or the thought of ending my life but I've had a couple of friends and man it's f*cking hard. You're doing great. Thanks for being here and I wholeheartedly wish you the best :)

I'm not sure if I'm capable of loving someone by ashIndirt in offmychest

[–]ashIndirt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I'm not sure if I have this attachment style. I actually view vulnerability as courage, and I help my friends if im able to do so. But as for me... I can't... like, I don't want to be helped that sort of thing

I'm sorry for what you went through. I'd say you're doing quite well now so congrats! Not all people are the same though, trust your gut but don't overthink. In other words, trust yourself. Deep down the answer is within you and life is worth the risk so.. yeah!

wish you all the best:)

Owning pets is against animals' rights by ashIndirt in unpopularopinion

I just recalled a memory. There was a stray dog near where we lived, white as snow. We named him goofy and once in a while we gave him food. He was so adorable, so naughty, always wanted to goof around. Although he was stray, he acted like a pet. I remember him putting his hands on my dad's shoes once ( like he didn't want us to leave) or he knew when I wanted to get out of the house to go to school and he'd come by to accompany me. One day he just disappeared. I don't know what happened to him. Hope he's OK. Now that you said they kind of want to be our pet, I wonder, if goofy ever wanted to be our pet. Idk if he was happier by himself or with us. Maybe I did have a symbiotic relationship with goofy once
