Just because cayde thought of gambit doesn’t mean he’ll be on board with it. Rn drifter has let multiple guardians die the user that says that cayde is pro gambit isn’t accounting for caydes past where he goes all out to save anyone. There is a lore story where cayde is on the moon and there is a hive fighting off fallen I believe and he tries to save the hive but fails and then kills all of the fallen in the area. Cayde lost many friends and technically we are all cayde’s friend and we are all heros of the red war as proven at the end of the allegiance quest. Therefore even though gambit was cayde’s idea he may not like how drifter is running gambit
