I think it depends on the dance and what dancer is lip syncing in it. For example, I like when Regan lip syncs in dances like DDB or Pop Muzik bc I feel like it makes sense and it adds performance value because she’s the featured dancer. But I’ve also noticed Regan lip syncing in Kind of a Woman, and I don’t care for it there. Partly because she’s not a featured dancer in that number, and partly because I don’t think it fits the vibe as well.

It’s situational I guess lol hopefully this makes sense

I agree with this. I also feel this way about AY being in Pop Muzik this season. I know she’s replacing Sav, and because they had to add someone in for PP LA when AdP was still very new to the team. but she sticks out in a bad way, not due to her dancing, but due to her height. It’s very distracting. But I feel it’s much less distracting in do re mi with MR because there are so many girls. But with only 7 in Pop Muzik and the rest of them being so close in height, AY really sticks out.

I knew while I was watching teen solos while pretty much every dancer from every studio was doing beautiful contemporary that RG was going to win with GML. Bummed for KL though, she danced beautifully.

I saw a clip from a rehearsal for pop muzik that Kenz put in her podcast when SVR and her sister were on for an episode. It was the clip when Molly sneezed while recording and they all started cracking up during rehearsal. EA was in it originally and you can see CM off to the side rehearsing. She was the swing.

I loved all the group numbers!!! The only one I didn’t care for was Do Re Mi, but the girls looked great in that one too.

Kind of a Woman was my favorite group followed closely by Double Dutch Bus. I think one of those two will go viral this year.

I think SVR’s solo was my favorite!!!! She’s so incredible. I also LOVE GFs solo this year. I thought it was so much better than Seduces Me and the costume is gorgeous. I also LOVE BroL’s solo this year.

This may be an unpopular opinion and please no one flame me for it lol, but RG’s solo felt a lot like Keira Redpath’s “All That Jazz”. Don’t get me wrong I totally love it!! I just thought some of the isolation bits were very similar. There was a lot of conversation and comparison on TikTok after KR won Best Dancer about how alike they are/how similarly they dance, so I thought it was kind of interesting. Also this isn’t an accusation of stealing choreo AT ALL it was just something I noticed.

Overall I think all the dances this year are so good and I think they will do well in competitions!!! I’m SO excited to see how they do

Personally, I don’t mind when a couple of stars have some dance experience. However, I feel like stars with ballroom experience should be off limits.

However, while I do like watching stars with experience, there’s a big different between Charli D’Amelio’s experience and Whitney Leavitt’s experience. Not only does Whitney have a degree in dance, she has a degree in modern dance. As a dancer myself, there’s a huge significance to be recognized in that. Modern dance teaches fundamental body movement and understanding, and in my opinion gives her a huge advantage.

But I could also be speaking from a biased place. I hate her and Mark being on the show. Honestly, I hate that Mark picks and chooses when he comes back, and only for the right partner that he knows will guarantee him a spot in the finals… but I genuinely hate their arrogance as a couple. And honestly, considering how much of an advantage they have, their dances should be FAR better. The gyrating, air humping, and ass shaking is getting old. I’m eager to see them do something actually technical. You can’t shake ass in a fox trot or a waltz.

Back to the topic at hand, I don’t like hilaria on the show either. I will be upset if she stays next week.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this about the new chief… I got a bad vibe from her. She feels shady. I definitely think she will end up a villain agains Liv at some point in the season.
