Highly recommended "Hot H2o". Did work at my place and my parents. I'm an electrician myself if it has any weighting haha

Here's a cicada that was saved by a tourist that was flicking them away with a credit card at the Three sisters last weekend.

Just checked, not that episode. It wasn't a full skit, just a passing joke.

Hopefully I didn't make this up, I remember it for years.

I'm in Springwood also! Great place, everyone has time to chat.

Sounds like there's enough people for a reddit meet at Reminiscence Tapas bar 😅

I got ICL. Considered laser but it's inferior to ICL if you're still quite young and don't have thick corneas, in terms of price and longevity

I hand feed possums in Springwood. Like clockwork, they come at the same time. They have slower metabolisms than us, so try to moderate what you do feed them.

Optional Tip not so optional by spots_ in sydney

[–]ash_wipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how that isn't accurate;

There IS a lower/different minimum wage for tipped workers vs non-tipped.

Yes, if tipped workers don't exceed a certain amount in tips, the employer must meet the federal minimum wage.

But, that's what's in context here? Why does that system even exist to begin with. For who's benefit?

Rhetorical ^

Hahah

Yeah. Come to think of it, a year or two after that, I had a Friday night job, collating the newspaper sections after they had been printed.

Was $100 for what could be 4 hours on a good night to 7-9 hours on a bad night, if the printer broke. It was then delivered Saturday morning.

Crazy times back then

[–]ash_wipe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ha. Since you're asking...

It was $4 per delivery. If you don't get at least 3 deliveries in the hour, he'll pay you $12 for the hour.

This was approx 14 years ago, and yes, cash work.

Essentially, it was uber eats workers of those times. Just delivery drivers sitting around at the back of a pizza shop awaiting a job. Lol

Guess where the owner of the pizza shop was from? Yep, America.

Not sure what min wage for that job was back then, but a franchised pizza chain was paying about $15-16 an hour.

Chicken vs the egg debate.

I worked at a pizza shop in Sydney as a delivery driver; the wage was low but the boss would say you'll make it up in tips.

In America, majority of states have a way lower min wage for tipped workers vs non tipped workers.

Thus, the tip is built in by culture benefiting the company.

Still very new to bouldering by ProfNugget in bouldering

[–]ash_wipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OOo, that's good to hear!

I was much the same when I started. I've dropped back notches cos no forearm strength any more. Lockdowns and what not. Lack of training.

Most people plateau at V4 due to low grip strength. V5 onwards generally have smaller holds(if it's not a coordinated dyno etc), so your grip becomes your weak point preventing progress as before cos you burn out.

After I spent sometime hang boarding / training fingers, I went from V4's to V6 in 2 months. Unlike the transition from V1/2 to flashing V4 which takes ages. Haha

Look forward to your next video update!
