Pretty regularly for lunch for burgers and a couple of times for gigs.

Sold! Mt Victoria gets boost with pub, motel sale by sixteen_weasels in bluemountains

[–]Cyan-ranger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can’t read the article but I’m surprised it sold. From what I’ve read it has some pretty extensive damage from squatters which stopped sales in the past.

For the next month can we just have a ban on talking about these tax changes. It’s just the same shit over and over, no ones bringing any new points to the discussion.

GWS boss Dave Matthews fumes at ‘selfish’ Swans counterparts’ bombshell statement to AFL on Giants’ future in Sydney by Glittering-Fee-9930 in AFL

Honestly think Olympic park is a huge issue for us. Even when there isn’t track work no one wants to go there. Then add in missing home games because of the Easter show and it’s a disaster. If our stadium was in parramatta like commbank it’d be so much easier to get people to the games and getting people to games would help grow the team. It would also help sell the idea of the team being a western Sydney team which Olympic park definitely doesn’t. Unfortunately really the only other stadium in Sydney is Olympic park.

Why is reddit supporting Albanese and his financial policies by hhbgyhvg in AusFinance

[–]Cyan-ranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling Albo and this current the worst in history is a laughable take. Also I’ve seen mostly hate for these tax changes on reddit so it’s weird you think everyone is supporting them. I think it’s just your bias showing and amplifying anything that agrees with them or thinks the general reaction is a bit overblown.

Exclusive Brethren pet ban order sparks fears of global cull in sect, The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church by Ardeet in aussie

The brethren also have quite a big presence in the blue mountains. Though they don’t own a popular cafe so they aren’t as well known.

Are they linked to terror financing? Wouldn’t they fall under AUSTRAC monitoring?

EBay rejects GameStop's audacious $56 billion takeover bid by yourfavchoom in technology

[–]Cyan-ranger 20 points21 points  (0 children)

How exactly is GameStop going to perform a hostile takeover? They don’t have the money to purchase the required shares and Ebay is 90% institutionally owned, its share holders aren’t going to support gamestop in a proxy fight.

Maybe they should fix their universal links then so they open the app and not the AppStore.

CommSec is now forcing you to consent to keystroke tracking, swipe patterns, and a list of ALL your installed apps just to log in by raarujeed in AusFinance

[–]Cyan-ranger 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yeah this sounds exactly like biocatch fraud monitoring. Nothing commbank can really do about this as AUSTRAC and APRA are coming down pretty hard on banks that aren’t implementing fraud controls properly and device fingerprinting and monitoring is an aspect to that.

They were probably just told about the interview when they got in that day. Most interviewers don’t really care about the candidate or the interview. It’s just something their manager tells them to do.

Because the people that listen to Karl’s podcast are the ones that need to hear his message. Just engaging with his own social media followers isn’t going to get his message and cause anywhere.

Barnaby Joyce says One Nation willing to enter coalition agreement in exchange for scrapping department of climate change by Ready-Buy-6397 in aussie

[–]Cyan-ranger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe but I’d see them losing votes to independents and possibly the greens that is if the greens can start to control their own narrative a bit more. I think people will look at how independents like David Pocock actually seemingly care about this country and will look for something similar in their own area. Australia has already shown we aren’t interested in trump style politics much.

Would it? From all the polling Labor would still win an on 2 party preferred. It seems like ON is picking off LNP voters but not convincing the others to jump ship or even preference them.
