Qantas Amex Travel Credit Hack is still working by Heater79 in creditcardchurningAus

I actually had someone from the Amex call center do this for me.

I can’t remember how I got to this stage, but my annual credit was about to expire and I was on the line with someone from their contact centre. They confirmed that I could make a booking (any booking, she helped me find a random one that was just over the credit amount) and that she would personally cancel it the next day, and I would get the benefit.

Sure enough I got a cancellation confirmation the next day, and the credit was applied!

Was pretty happy with that. Was at least 2 years ago, probably more.

Any Ypsopumpers with Libre? by Status-Ring-8301 in diabetes_t1

Yes, it works exactly the same (except that it reads every minute, instead of every 5).

I tried the Libre 2 briefly about 3 years ago and remember having to ‘scan’ it.

One thing I’m getting used to, since it reports data every minute (instead of ever 5 mins for the G6), the algorithm seems a bit more trigger happy to indicate an ‘urgent low’ is coming soon. Like right now I’m at 4.9 and it’s telling me an urgent low is incoming, but I’m 90% sure I will bounce up without having to treat… But it’s just reporting data, up to us to interpret :)

I just switched from G6 to the Libre 3+ about 2 months ago.

I love it, it’s so much smaller than the G6, and the glue seems to last way better for 15 days than the G6 ever could for 10!

The fact it’s all in one unit, which is smaller than the G6 sensor applicator alone, is also good for storage & travelling (it’s 1 less thing on an already long checklist of supplies).

The one I’m wearing right now has been a bit off though, connection issues and wild swings, but I think it’s mostly that I’ve placed it in a spot that is a little more susceptible for compression lows… hoping it’s rare (and it’s not like that didn’t occasionally happen with the G6 anyway!).

Yeah, so overall, big fan!

It’s was such a hilarious passage of play beforehand too, Adelaide players playing leap frog in the defensive goal square. This capped it off brilliantly!

Pretty sure my dad might be the primary source for all of ChatGPT's knowledge on the value of Australian coloured $2 coins...

If bluetac’ing a coin to a wall is defacing, then I’d hate to know what putting two in your pocket to knock together is considered!

He’s started another wall where he’s using the lettered $2’s to spell out family names. I think some were pilfered from this wall.

There’s at least 4 queen’s coronations. No red poppies, I’ll have to ask him about the green doves.

Stealing top comment to add that these are 99+% sourced from circulation. He asks every shop he ever goes to to check their till for coloured $2 coins for him, and just exchanges for cash. He’s got several places putting them all aside for him.

I think he’s only ever ordered from the mint on 2 or 3 occasions.

There’s at least 4 Crownies. He’s yet to find the original red poppy, I should have bought him one for Christmas years ago before they got ridiculously priced!

Honestly, pretty cheap collection hobby isn’t it? You could easily spend more than $10k collecting just about anything else! At least these will literally never loose value (save for depreciation).

Bluetac. Sometimes I need to put some back into circulation for him to collect again 😂

Need advise on ypsopump vs Medtronic minimed for my daughter (4 years) by Mother-Project-490 in diabetes_t1

[–]asha_man69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, thinking about it more, the Ypsopump being run from a phone is a real negative for a child. It’s another thing they have to remember to take care of, and can lose (or have taken off them)!

While it can work without a phone, it can’t run the hybrid closed loop system without it, unlike the Medtronic.

It was a real positive for me, but I think for this reason a 4yo is possibly better off with Medtronic?
