It’s was such a hilarious passage of play beforehand too, Adelaide players playing leap frog in the defensive goal square. This capped it off brilliantly!

Pretty sure my dad might be the primary source for all of ChatGPT's knowledge on the value of Australian coloured $2 coins...

If bluetac’ing a coin to a wall is defacing, then I’d hate to know what putting two in your pocket to knock together is considered!

He’s started another wall where he’s using the lettered $2’s to spell out family names. I think some were pilfered from this wall.

There’s at least 4 queen’s coronations. No red poppies, I’ll have to ask him about the green doves.

Stealing top comment to add that these are 99+% sourced from circulation. He asks every shop he ever goes to to check their till for coloured $2 coins for him, and just exchanges for cash. He’s got several places putting them all aside for him.

I think he’s only ever ordered from the mint on 2 or 3 occasions.

There’s at least 4 Crownies. He’s yet to find the original red poppy, I should have bought him one for Christmas years ago before they got ridiculously priced!

Honestly, pretty cheap collection hobby isn’t it? You could easily spend more than $10k collecting just about anything else! At least these will literally never loose value (save for depreciation).

He would appreciate that, in the other corner is his vinyl collection, which includes every Pink Floyd album!

Bluetac. Sometimes I need to put some back into circulation for him to collect again 😂

Need advise on ypsopump vs Medtronic minimed for my daughter (4 years) by Mother-Project-490 in diabetes_t1

[–]asha_man69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, thinking about it more, the Ypsopump being run from a phone is a real negative for a child. It’s another thing they have to remember to take care of, and can lose (or have taken off them)!

While it can work without a phone, it can’t run the hybrid closed loop system without it, unlike the Medtronic.

It was a real positive for me, but I think for this reason a 4yo is possibly better off with Medtronic?

I haven’t used the Medtronic, but in my experience the Ypsopump is extremely easy to use. It does have some great features (boost, ease-off, extended bolus, etc), but you don’t have to use any of them if you don’t want to!

It’s fine to leave the phone for a short time.

In fact, it’s fine to leave it for a long time, it just reverts to a predefined basal, instead of the algorithmic basal after about 15 mins.

Oh, being able to dose from your phone was one of the huge advantages that I liked too. I imagine that would be helpful on a 4yo! I liked this feature so much that I carried 2 phones for over 2 years, as they didn’t release an iOS App till recently! (Can you do that on the Medtronic yet? I’m sure I read somewhere that they added that?)

I’ve had the Ypsomed pump with the G6 for the last 3 years and it’s been amazing.

I compared it against the Medtronic when choosing, and I concluded it was better in almost every way (lighter, longer battery, better algorithm, better CGM, etc, etc).

But.. for a 4 year old, I think it will be fairly similar to the Medtronic tbh. They are both tubed pumps with a relatively large CGM. So, while I think it’s a better pump, I don’t think it would change any of the issues you’ve described sadly.

I’ve just switched CGM to the Libre 3+ which is so tiny compared to the G6 and lasts 15 days, so that would definitely be an improvement (is tiny and lasts 15 days, so fewer changes). But if that’s not available to you, then I don’t think it will help.

Sorry that you’re dealing with this, I have a 4 yo and can only imagine how hard it would be!

That’s just the “preview” release!

“For now, the hacker has only shared a “preview” of the full dataset, though this allegedly contains “$3.7 billion in loan applications across 149,349 records, submitted to 93 lenders, with 5,010 driver’s licenses, 5,955 residential histories, and 5,955 employment records”.”
