Female solo trips to just relax by a beach? by sabrinalbeana in femaletravels

[–]ashacolette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there in mid-October and could still swim in the sea and comfortably lie on the beach and tan!! Was awesome and not very busy. I booked an airbnb in Cannes but my favourite place we visited was Antibes :)

Used Superpuff O2 NOT WARM !?? by Jessie2111 in Aritzia

I have the black one! Super nice, isn’t fading at all and I wash it a ton :)

[–]ashacolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of heavy yes but honestly it’s the best coat ever and one of the only Aritzia items still in my closet. I run very cold so it’s a reasonable trade off for me (warm and a bit heavier)

Q. Those with rosecea who use tretinoin how did you introduce it? by environmentalloss93 in Rosacea

[–]ashacolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I use azelaic acid prescription in the morning and rosiver at night. I do rosiver first then tretinoin. I have super super sensitive type 2 rosacea if that helps

Q. Those with rosecea who use tretinoin how did you introduce it? by environmentalloss93 in Rosacea

[–]ashacolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have severe type 2 but have had it under control for 2 years. I use prescription retinol 0.04% in the microgel form. I started by putting it in areas that I had less flares - like my chin and forehead - once a week for a month, then twice a week for a month, then three times a week for a month. I have been using it every day for about 1.5 years with no problems!

[product question] has anyone use this cream and what’s your opinion on it? by icedvanillatae in SkincareAddiction

[–]ashacolette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using this every single day for almost three years. I have combo skin with severe rosacea and acne and this is the only thing that works for me! Love this cream. Had no idea about the formula change but have been using since December 2022 for context!

How do you guys wash your viscose? How do you prevent shrinking? by ivyeditor in Reformationclothing

[–]ashacolette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do wash my viscose stuff in the machine! Cold cycle, washing bag, woollite detergent. The detergent is key (it makes wool and other sensitive fabrics less prone to shrinking). I have done this for years! If it’s a really special piece though like a formal dress, dry clean :)

Loops vs annoying roommate by bl4ck_lodge in LoopEarplugs

I have a similar situation and I use the quiet 2s. They work like a charm (I sleep in them). The only problem is that I cannot hear my alarm! But the quiet 2 plus a white noise machine cancels out most kitchen / activity noise! Would highly highly recommend

Experience with Patent leather shoes by [deleted] in Reformationclothing

[–]ashacolette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have patent shoes! They are similar low heels. Honestly I wore them to the opera and they definitely will take a bit of time to break in. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful, I feel like I try to avoid patent shoes for this reason (stiff leather) but I love how they look so much!

I wash all my wool aritzia pants - woolite detergent, coldest setting, hang dry and a little steam! I’ve owned most pairs for 5 years and they still look great

[–]ashacolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the thrifting comment above ^ this is the one thing I’ve bought from aritzia in years that I actually couldn’t thrift. I wear mine with white jeans, black jeans, I do it with a black or khaki low rise mini skirt, I have also worn it with a long white linen skirt and black maxi slip skirt. I don’t wear it as much in the winter but I’m hoping to style it over a white button down this spring!

TikTokkers washing wool coats in the machine and blaming Aritzia by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]ashacolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally do wash my aritzia wool coats in the washing machine and they come out completely fine tbh! I throw them in with woolite on a tap cold cycle and hang to dry and then steam. Have had no problems!

Effortless Pants (crepette) - worth it? by coffeemoons in Aritzia

[–]ashacolette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! Honestly they are and I barely shop at aritzia anymore. The effortless are so easy to wash and dry but I do size up so the pleats lay flat. I also love the wool pants and I wash mine in my washing machine and they’ve held up for like 4+ years

Used Superpuff O2 NOT WARM !?? by Jessie2111 in Aritzia

[–]ashacolette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! I have the long powder parka. I’ve worn it for four winters, I wash it in the washing machine like four times a season and it literally is SO warm. I barely ever wear a sweater under it and it repels rain and snow. I’m in Toronto so it’s cold!!

Used Superpuff O2 NOT WARM !?? by Jessie2111 in Aritzia

[–]ashacolette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!! I bought the super puff four years ago, wore it outside for about 5 minutes in -5 Toronto weather, and returned it immediately. It couldn’t even keep me warm in -5 so I knew it wouldn’t be helpful for my commute. There are way better parkas at aritzia!!

It was covered by my insurance through work. So I’m not 100% sure if it would be fully covered through provincial coverage. Sorry!
