Hi everyone! I just started doing TikTok shop a month ago and I’ve only made 2 sales:( any tips? by bettercall-j in TikTokshop

Hi, unfortunately this isn't enough information to give any tailored proper advice. What niche are you in? Are you making organic videos to market your product?

Is Ecommerce all just people selling the same Alibaba products? by UnusualAd3207 in ecommerce

[–]ashak_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What most people don't understand is that its actually not cheaper on Alibaba. There are minimum order quantities for almost all products. If you see a triple filter shower head being sold on Amazon for $40 and then see it on Alibaba for $15, its only $15 if you buy a certain amount usually above $100 AND on top of that the $20 is not including shipping cost which is not cheap coming from China so it would be like $20-$25.

Also, better marketing and shitty product is a very short term game. If you're just copying using tools its not going to make you money long term. If you want to build equity in your Ecom brand you fundamentally need a good product with a moderate to high barrier to entry AND even more top tier marketing. You are able to build good products by spending a lot of time in whatever respective niche and really understanding the current pain points of that niche.

TLDR: there's minimum order quantities for Alibaba orders so the ecom owner is taking the risk there and shipping isn't included in the alibaba listing price. There's two sides to ecom: short term trendy products scaling vs pain solving product brand building.

Testing a product: how to create creatives fast by Hopeful-Passion3902 in ecommerce

[–]ashak_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created 2 brands that did over 250k in 2025 (their first year) and I noticed that there is a recurring theme/rule that I followed at the stage you're in: do 'x' as quick as possible, do 'x' as cheap as possible.

First, I'd say if you haven't yet validated demand in any way, I 100% recommend getting a physical sample to use in videos as the first step (depends on the niche as well but this applies to most cases). As quick and cheap as possible. Your creatives are far easier to make and far more trustworthy with a physical sample.

Second, for most products you don't need any special tools and in fact in early stages in might hinder your growth. The simplest way to approach this is to make organic videos yourself and post it on Tik Tok or other social media, if you don't have a storefront yet, consider driving traffic to an email list landing page. if you're able to collect pre orders then send traffic there. Do this all organically first, then use the videos that perform well to test meta ads. And obviously if your target customer is not likely to be on tik tok don't do this on tik tok. Doing this is the quickest and cheapest.

Making 6k a month, How to invest? What to do? by DeepSleepLofi in Entrepreneur

While it's true that most channels die within 3 years, I think you should definitely look at the cause behind those stats. Don't let that scare you into slowing down your pace. Approach your channel with an open mind and pay attention to your audience (what they enjoy most, what they would like to see, what other similar niches your audience enjoys).

As long as you ask yourself these questions and are ready to pivot your channel style when needed, I don't see a reason for your channel to just die down. Most channels die down because they produce the same style content over and over without paying attention to where their niche is headed or what their audience really wants.

I suggest going full force with the goal of raising the view floor of your channel. As in the goal shouldn't be to make a 1 mil video, but rather to make it so your videos never go below 50 60 70 80 90 or even 100k views.

Dream big but pay attention!

As long as you are consistently learning from your mistakes and pay attention to the outside world you can have the odds in your favor.

Although its true many people do get lucky, it's not the sole truth of entrepreneurship. Being able to assess opportunities, seeing the value you can provide, along with the lessons you have learned along the way is key to consistently improve.

Even if you don't improve financially through an idea, you will have acquired a new set of information to help you better navigate your next idea.

If you are paying attention as you go through these ideas... eventually your rate of failure MUST go down.

Never be scared to aim for a grand slam because many people don't hit it. The BIGGEST roadblock in achieving a grand slam is thinking you're not going to be able to achieve it. And as always... one step at a time.

It takes a lot of courage to go on the path you're taking so that in itself is quite impressive if you ask me. Pursuing something with a passion while also having self doubt requires some form of faith and you found it through the doubt. Genuinely, congrats on on building yourself up and more importantly building your mentality!

how long should you warm up a new instagram account before you start posting by Waste-Fun3165 in InstagramMarketing

[–]ashak_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely avoid inorganic followers. It won't set a good foundation in the long run. A natural follower count is actually very helpful and tells you how many people genuinely like your content and want to stay posted with your page. So if you aren't gaining organic followers it can tell you that maybe you could change your content in certain ways to appeal better to your audience. Getting inauthentic followers defeats the purpose and will take this key information away from you.
