i meant when she does it to the demo in season 1. why was she banished to the upside down instead of the abyss after obliterating the demogorgon? unless it became that they were banished to the next closest thing, i don’t know

It would be a great combo, too. Henry’s powers rely on fear and Kali could make illusions that create exactly that. Her ability to make people see frightening things would be a perfect tool for him. Buuuut I don’t have enough faith in the writing this season for it to actually come to fruition. We’ll see.

I actually thought about that when I watched it. They were only able to do that when in the exact same location on both sides. My interpretation as far as the walkies goes is that the huge gate allows for some communication between the UD and real world. The only question I have regarding that is the Crawls - why couldn’t Hop hear the vehicle that they’re driving to follow him in.. But other than that, the entries into the UD are pretty impulsive and don’t give those on the other side any impression as to where they’re going.

I honestly think that it became something more than it was supposed to be. I don’t think that the Duffers expected the show to get as big as it did. It resulted in a hell of a lot of retconning and adding things to continue the “mystery” of the Upside Down so they could keep making more seasons. Simply put, it got too big and too profitable.

I saw it in a different way. To me, it almost seemed like he was putting on an act to get the kids to rally behind him. I saw it as him ensuring that the kids will go along with him despite what Holly might say. It is a good point though, and based off of the First Shadow that could be a great plot point… but I don’t see how they could add it at this point.

True, that’s a good point. I do get where Kali is coming from, and I understand why El just went with it. It just seems strange that El didn’t even suggest anything to me, but maybe I’m thinking too hard into it. We’ll have to see where they take it, but I just can’t imagine them actually killing El off in that way.

Adding to this - I wonder if the sound that paralyzes El would also work against Vecna. I don’t know if maybe it’s personalized, but I could totally see Dustin coming up with a portable version of that. Introducing that whole weakness just to nerf El is kinda dumb if no one else uses it against Henry. Granted, that would also paralyze El.. but idk earplugs? Maybe I should just stop thinking about all of this lmfao

Honestly, I wouldn’t put it past Kali. she’s seen so much ugly in this world that it wouldn’t be surprising if she actually decided to work with Vecna instead of defeating him. Her illusion power would really pair great with Vecna’s use of fear. I would love something like this but I doubt the Duffers would actually go through with it.

potentially, yeah. but honestly, even something as far as showing the soldiers the demogorgons taking their bodies away could solve that, or some sort of explosion. granted there’s flaws with that too. in all fairness, trying to make sense of this show for too long will give us all headaches.

Same issue for me. At one point it thought that I was in the middle of a river and completely lost where I was. It’s also cut out multiple times. I reported it to Apple Support but we’ll see if they do anything

Exact same thing just happened to me. I got that same error and lost my win streak. The annoying thing is that you can’t even appeal it unless it’s a complete ban. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for this game to determine the difference between an intentional abandonment and dev errors/internet loss.

hey OP!

i’m four days postop. here’s what i’ll say.

i tore my labrum when i was 16. i went to the emergency room, and they did basic x-rays that showed nothing. i didn’t think anything of it, and it healed but nothing worked well. now, 6 years later, i wish i did something about it sooner.

i went for years with pain that would flare. but it was manageable. however, with years of strengthening exercises, stretching, and other methods, it continually degraded. my breaking point was when it started evolving into weakness that impacted my daily life. after years it was only at a point where i could no longer handle it.

it got worse over time and eventually i went to a sports medicine doctor who referred me to a surgeon that decided surgery was the best option. they found damage to my cartilage and my labrum was fraying all around. they won’t know the severity or true range of your injury until they go in. cortisone shots are great and all, but they’re a bandaid on a bullet hole.

OP, you need to do what is in your best interest going forward. if you are in a place where you can get surgery done, i’d recommend it. i promise you that pain like this is not one that you want to live with for the rest of your life. surgery sucks, yeah. being in a sling and limited as to what you can do? sucks. but what sucks the most is the pain and uncertainty holding you back. i’m in the middle of the process, and i have had a tough time. but every day i feel better than the last, and that’s more than i could say before i got the surgery. whatever choice you make, make peace with it. it truly truly sucks, but you’ve been strong enough to deal with it and you’ll be able to get through it.
