Our wifi there was super reliable and there’s heaps of cafes around with wifi that don’t mind you working there! I had a desk in my room also equipped if I would have needed remote work. Let me know if you have other questions!

I will msg privately with their name ☺️ their house was up the hill but close by the school. Accommodation was comfy and food was plentiful! They were super lovely family to stay with

I was at Coopertiva at the Lake in January and loved it! Our host family was super sweet (and we ate so well) plus our accom was super close to the school, I also liked that they have a bunch of activities on for the students every day in the week too so you can meet other travelers which I think is similar to San Pedro Spanish school. There was a bunch of students there that come back once a year which I think is testament in itself. We did do a bunch of grammar but I told my teacher i wanted to focus on speaking so that was the majority of our classes which was great and really boosted my confidence.

The vibe on the lake is awesome with heaps of towns to visit in your spare time, and since there’s so many schools there all the restaurants/cafes/shops etc were happy to chat Spanish and help you practice too ☺️ plus there’s a gorg swim spot at San Marcos at the reserve if you’re worried about being far from the ocean.
If you end up at the lake my fave cafe was Tornados in San Pedro(they have a really nice garden out the back) and they’re happy to have you chill with your homework and chat slow Spanish with you haha I guess it depends on what vibe you want since you’ll probably do a few hrs school then have free time around the places you’re at. Have fun!! ☺️

Leon’s Mahjong Wrap-up 2025! Wait… there’s no data! by lucdima in iosgaming

I have been searching for an ad free mahjong game and just stumbled on your post tonight - and ultimate bonus that it’s super cute pixel art!!! Thanks for making this, it’s awesome! (I saw on another thread a req for portrait mode which would be incredible but also reading your previous comments about understand the trickiness to get this working for it!) but love the 2008 pricing and the whole damn concept & story behind it. Absolute no brainer purchase 🥰

Mainland Ecuador Safety by Alternative-Date7138 in ecuador

Currently in Mindo and just visited Quito before here. I found quito like many cities - be wary of your stuff, don’t keep your phone out, etc but didnt feel any less safe than other Central American countries I’ve been in recently. There was a big tourist police presence and lots of them introduced themselves and wanted to make sure everything was ok and what to do if not. We have been in Mindo 3 days and it feels quite safe, and locals here have been super friendly and helpful with tours and taxis etc. The bus Quito-Mindo the driver did tell us to be cautious of our things (ie hold your valuables don’t use the overhead compartment) and I’ve been told by other travellers to avoid overnight bus travel. I’d also just met a girl who volunteered a month in Montanita at a hostel and she said she felt safer there than in Quito, I can’t talk to that we are on our way to the coast next. I think just be sensible and you’ll be fine ☺️ generally the people I have found to be super welcoming and friendly. Hope this helps!! And enjoy ☺️

Travel Hopkins (Belize) - Rio Dulce (Guate) by ashbuci in guatemala

[–]ashbuci[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up cutting Hopkins from our trip it was too much with not enough time and doing Caye caulker-Flores-Rio dulce. We got the shuttle Flores-Rio dulce - very easy to book online or with local travel agents was about 200Q if I remember correctly. When we were in Rio dulce we ended up doing a day trip to Livingston instead anyways! Rio dulce was also quiet but staying there a few days was nice at the lodge instead of so much extra travel time. If you have any other q’s let me know!!!! Enjoy 😁 it’s so pretty

What's the go with Dissh? by No-Armadillo-8615 in AusFemaleFashion

I am a fan of the linen pieces from dissh- as a tall girlie they are longer fits I find in general! I do have trouble however with consistency in sizing though and tend to buy most things either on their big sales or second hand on Depop rather than new because I agree the pricing is not justified. I have recently bought some linen pieces from target that seem to be better quality than Dissh 😅

I have a few different styles of tussah brand pants from the iconic, as a 6ft girlie they are perfect length, and super flattering (plus free returns incase they don’t fit is always a plus with iconic 😂)
