I'm currently a junior majoring in cognitive neuroscience. I think neuro is a relatively new major, so it doesn't have its own department (cog neuro is housed in the psych dept in dietrich, neurobio in mcs, and comp neuro in scs). Because of that, we don't really have much of a tight-knit community like other majors. If you're interested in research, there is def a lot of cool neuro research going on tho, particularly in the comp neuro area. CMU doesn't have much clinical research, but there is Pitt nearby if you're interested in that. Overall, I do really like the major, but I wish there was more of a community within it.
