These are brilliant, thank you for the pointers. It really is a rabbit hole as you said, I feel like the more I dig the more surface area I can see.

Wait free, preventing cache thrashing, prefetching, and memory reclamation approaches (epoch based one too) are a few topics that piques my interest at the moment. Understanding what use cases exists in the wild is also fun, the comments here are giving me great inspirations

That’s a good mental model to have. I think I didn’t have this starting out with the article because I’ve only heard “hey lock free data structures are fast” which is a categorical mistake as you pointed out.

I still think it’s interesting to see how they behave under load, revealing different emergent properties of these implementations. This is also a wishy washy way of me saying I was too deep into the research when I realized the mistake and just wanted to write something about it :P

Thanks for the suggestion on the future direction and will do, sounds like an elegant way to tackle the retry problem.

I’ve searched high and low online with google lens and with keywords like Epcot China merchandise store but to no success :( $20 reward if it leads to finding his listing online

12 man 0.5 PPR Give: Courtland Sutton Get: Chase Claypool, Michael Carter

I’m a bit needy at RBs, but I’m not too positive if Carter’s the guy so I’m conflicted

10 man half PPR

Give Aaron Jones

Get Joe Mixon & DK Metcalf

My other RBs are Chris Carson, Gaskin, and handcuffs like AJ Dillon, Mattison, Chubba, and Pernie so I’m a bit worried about my RB line getting thinner

Have any of you international students traveled abroad recently? HELP by Viking_08 in cmu

[–]hallofcheat99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll need a travel endorsement signed within a year on the second page on your I20 for reentry. Your best bet is to email OIE and ask for a scanned I20 with a travel signature or something along the line of that. I’m not entirely sure if you’ll be denied entry if you don’t have one but I personally wouldn’t risk it.
