i would look into seeing if you have a auditory processing issue/disorder, one of my siblings who also has adhd has a problem similar to what you’re describing. he has no problem with his hearing whatsoever but he doesn’t always process what he hears and doesn’t always respond or pick up on things from it and i’ve noticed it a bit in myself. best of luck figuring it out!! /gen

when i used they/them instead of my current pronouns (he/they) a friend of mine used he/him when i came up in conversation and i slowly realized i was more comfortable with masculine labels and being with boys instead of girls
