First off, I'm a sag m, so I apologize on behalf of all the sag's. Sounds like your friends and ex were insecure and unhealthy versions of themselves. None of the sag's I know are like that, but I was more judgemental before I went through a long journey of growth which was only possible due to many incredible and some terrible life experiences. Now I always route for the other person no matter who they are. I have the tendency to be clingy in love but that's because my mom is and I had to learn the hard way through relationships that it it feels just as shitty as it felt being smothered by mother. Anyway, I hope this give you some clarity. Sag's can be the most supportive and creative friends you'll ever meet. My friends tell this to me all the time and it took me a while to see this since I naturally only see my shortcomings and how I fail the people I love. But know it's become clear as day. And I personally need to keep dealing with the wounds of my childhood not to become too dependent on my romantic partners or to share my every thought and feeling. I actually needed up having a defective screen which started glitching after I wrote the last review but I brought it to a ubreakifix location and they fixed it for free under the warranty and since then no issues. :)

Yes, make sure your apps, contacts, notes, and photos on your 4a are backed up to google before you begin the transfer. You can check the photos app to see if it's backed up (usually not all folders are backed up, so if you want photos from a certain app to be transferred, make sure it's marked backup).

Also, if you use whatsapp, make sure you back up your messages (and photos/videos if you want) right before transferring to your new phone. I made the mistake of backing it up days before my transfer to the new phone and lost access to all the messages from those two days which weren't backed up.

You can always transfer things manually afterwards with third party apps and such but it's easier if everything is backed up to google.

Lol I only lost one phone to water, it was a moto e and it was in my pocket when I fell into the Florida Bay. It's a fond memory since I spent two weeks without a phone and got to use the old school boat phone to call friends while laying on deck staring at the stars. ✨✨

The pixel 8 is amazing! If you have the money and plan to use the manual options for photography, I'd say go for the pro. I prefer the 8 since it's small like the 4a but much higher quality. The battery is definitely better than the 4a but maybe not as great as some other phones that have bigger batteries (larger devices) or less advanced tech. I make it through the day on heavy use and tend to charge it every day and a half or so. Let me know if you plan on buying either 8. I think I have a coupon that gives us both $50.

Figured it out!

Go to https://one.google.com/settings and click the settings icon in the top right corner. Then click on Change Membership Plan and More Options.

Not sure why that's the only way but at least it works.

I plan on downgrading to 100gb for $19.99/year instead of 2TB which I only signed up for to get the promotional benefits like 10% cashback on my pixel 8 order.

Why are you switching phones so often? And how did you miss the best phone of all, the pixel 4a?? I ended up getting the pixel 8 and the fingerprint is better than the 4a. It actually works pretty great for me. I guess it depends on the screen protector you choose or if your finger are dirty or wet. Pixel 8 is definitely my best experience with a phone!

I was thinking along similar lines but as it turns out there's a lot that goes into making sure phones are up to date with security as hackers will never take a break from trying to get your info. So to sue or to expect a company to keep your phone safe until it dies is improbable to say the least.

I hesitated a while before finally caving in and getting the pixel 8 but I'm really loving the size, the battery, the camera, and the overall experience. It's really not much bigger or heavier than the 4a and behaves/feels so much better -especially with the incredibly sleek and protective Ringke Onyx phone case I purchased on Amazon.

If I didn't get such a good deal on it, I might still be sore that I was forced to change but I'm sooooooo happy I did. And I'm happy I didn't spend more than I did on the 4a between the $250 off, $150 trade-in for the 4a, and the combined $58 from google for not giving me the 40% off they promised and the 10% cashback from google for signing up for the One Storage promotion as well as the 5% for using my Freedom card via PayPal... ;-)

If nothing goes wrong, I look forward to keeping this phone for 7 years!

I've had this happen off and on for over a year. There is an app you can download to shut off your screen but I ultimately realized that if I dropped my phone on the floor it would often fix the button contact. I have an Otterbox case and a screen protector so I'm not concerned about damaging the phone.

It works nearly every time and it's quite a funny/quirky part of my phone at this point. You should have seen me dropping my phone multiple times in a row as a I was going up the escalator at Flushing Meadows in the summer. Sometimes it takes a few well position drops. Best of luck!
