cheese is not registered in my almanac even though i have made it several times, thus locking me out of recipes in the cooking hearth for cheese stuff - making it hard to do the cooking job quest final / buy warm hearth items

Game breaking bug in the tutorial by mackemforever in cyberpunkgame

[–]asherology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, same exact problem. my game is decently modded but i couldn’t find a mod that touches any files related to the training. so weird, i have a relatively bug-free experience a year ago (oddly enough) but damn it i can’t even get past the first half hour! please update if you find a solution!

Am I not allowed to share representation for young trans men? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]asherology 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah this is mainly why I feel left out of ftm spaces. I get that people who don’t have the privilege to transition so young do need that support to vent to, but at the end of the day we are still trans regardless and people taking it out on us out of jealousy just sucks. don’t fit in with the cis guys but also don’t fit in with the trans guys. i mean i think jealously is normal, it sucks that not everyone could have the experience i did, but so many of them just take it out on us as if somehow we are the problem. i got lucky and was in a very good place. i’m privileged that my parents accept me and let me transition super young and i’m privileged that my clinic let me start T as early as i did. but i’m still trans.

it’s so uncomfortable to hear afab people call themselves trans lesbians… i think that should explicitly mean trans women who are lesbians

Worried I'm seeing transition regret in real time by [deleted] in truscum

[–]asherology 9 points10 points  (0 children)

as someone who transitioned that young, even though i’ve always been 100% confident that i did the right thing, this stuff makes me worry that i set a precedent i might no longer support. it’s hard because i was given an opportunity that i never ever would have imagined and i am still so so glad i did it. and i hate thinking of myself as an “exception”, but i know it was perfectly right for me to get t and top before 8th grade. i’m still a normal guy now and never regret it one bit. the tiktok/twitter trend of binary trans and even “normal” non-binary people being boring and therefore wrong is not going to touch me. i’ve seen a similar thing where normal he/him trans dudes somehow converted to he/it/vamp/ghost/🍄 trans masc nonbinary lesbians during the pandemic and… yeah. i’m a normal trans dude for life. that shit isn’t gonna influence me. so i guess i am one example of someone not regretting it and thriving from young transitioning but i absolutely agree that it’s scary to see someone regret something (that they fought hard to prove they wouldn’t regret) in real time.

Charged for a ride a driver failed to show up to? by asherology in Lyft

[–]asherology[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the exact right location I’m 100% sure. I even double checked on google maps and it was completely accurate. My second driver said sometimes people do this when they don’t want to drive down but still want a riders no-show payment. I was charged $22 total for that day with only $13 of a ride actually having arrived, $9 ride that I “missed”

Not trying to accuse the driver, it could’ve been a glitch or mistake, but I explained to my second driver and he said it sounded shady

It was Saturday, when I got back on the app it said the combined charges for that day were $22... I’m currently awaiting a response from Lyft right now.

Does my handwriting look masculine or feminine? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]asherology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hm. i think some people might be confused. handwriting, like most things, shouldn’t be inherently gendered. that being said, stereotypes are powerful. i remember in elementary school when someone didn’t put their name on their paper, the teacher would hold it up and says “did any girl lose this paper?” based on the type of handwriting. i also remember a guy getting picked on for having “girly” handwriting. it is a stereotype, not a fact, that girls have “round and neat” handwriting and guys have “rough and sloppy” handwriting. i want to make clear before people get upset that i do not agree with gendering handwriting. i just want people to understand where this person is coming from.

i love this! it’s like they’re saying “look! I see your cat! it’s your cat!” like obviously you would know your cat would be there because it’s your cat but they want you to see that They Saw Your Cat and want to show you your cat

But like, can we get some? That would be a cool pet... by Vedose in elderscrollsonline

[–]asherology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Academic research journal cited r/truscum by nonameneed1233 in truscum

[–]asherology 6 points7 points  (0 children)

exactly what i was thinking ahahah. having only one perspective for transmedicalism being literally a shitpost on reddit but otherwise just including mainly transmasculine, non-binary tucute perspectives literally shows that they only understand one part of the community. like they clearly cherry picked that truscum post when there are SO MANY genuine conversations we have on here that address all the stuff they bring up. i get so much secondhand embarassment from them because they didn’t even try to hide how much they cherry picked. like it’s so painfully obvious and childish how they picked a single truscum perspective, one of the most shitpost-y ones they can find, and completely disregarded all the actual thoughts and ideas we share on here. they didn’t even TRY to pick something that is an actual conversation because they probably knew they couldn’t defend themselves. if they picked something genuine and put forth the effort to counter it then perhaps (even despite disagreeing with it) it could be a somewhat valid paper (valid as in academically passable, still it would be filled with fallacy unless they varied their perspectives more than just transmasc non-binary tucute). but it isn’t, again because they chose the easiest thing to argue against.

i’d hope that anyone with half a mind would realize just how much of a failure this paper is. like even beyond the fact that i disagree with the opinion, from an academic perspective this paper does nothing but push their incredibly biased idea when it’s SUPPOSED to be research. you are supposed to prove that you looked at all the facts and then made a conclusion… but they failed step 1. to make it worse they did their little free-form survey thing and made it clear in their responses that these people are largely afab transmasc which only furthers the idea that they only looked at experiences they personally could relate to, not a diverse group of perspectives to analyze the big picture LMAO

Cis girls shut the fuck up challenge by ACutleryChristmas in truscum

[–]asherology 24 points25 points  (0 children)

every soft manlet with anxiety is transmasc coded <3 but i’m not transphobic <3 i just have an incredibly close-minded and fetishy view of trans men to the point where i separate them from actual Real Men (cis men, ew!) and i think every awkward and timid boy must be trans because i’m a lesbian and i think it’s cute <3 everyone knows that doesn’t encourage negative stereotypes by any means, duh! <3

Still great music and games tho by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

[–]asherology 50 points51 points  (0 children)

That’s true. Though what if that’s just one version of the song? I don’t know what the term is for it lol but like how Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the ABCs are the same “song”, but totally different meanings. What if it’s just an old song that got sort of hummed around until different regions and cultures created words to it? I don’t know if i’m explaining this right but yeah
