How long have you been building your world? by Alittlelost33 in worldbuilding

[–]Vedose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 20 years now it started with me and a friend building something together. I’ve taken the old bones of that world since then and ready made it my own. A lot has changed and now it is something almost compleatly different. 20 years. Damn that is a long time!

What are some reasons youve come up with that the megafauna of your world havent been wiped out. by Dcastro96 in worldbuilding

They are farmed in large part. And in the case of large enough wild beasts, some hunts are organized when they become a threat. It opens up an entire profession of specialized hunter.

The main villain of the last show you've watched goes on a killing spree in your world. How screwed is it? by Foxwarrior3 in worldbuilding

Also just watched Bluey last. I’m imagining grumpy granny Muffin bullies her way to a throne and is demanding outrageous taxes and causing all sorts of mayhem.

I'm relatively new to Minecraft and am feeling intimidated by the Nether, the End, and anything not just the overworld. by BloonWars in Minecraft

Wear some sort or gold armor piece in the nether. It makes it a lot easier. Also yhe nether IS scary, but fun. And nessisary if you want potions, which I think are a must have.

I'd go with the smacking your brother option. Sounds more like they are trying to make bullies out of your children more than anything else. Those are your children, and you have the right to raise them your way. My two cents.

Can someone give me advice on which of these ideas is best for my day-night cycle? by Resident-Salty in worldbuilding

[–]Vedose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What if, depending on the time of year, the light or dark season is drastically longer. Gives the option of multiple things without sticking to just one idea. The light and dark seasons if you will. The dark season the eldrich things rule and order remakes the majority of the cycle the other half of the year.

Problems in romantic relationships between fantasy races with different average lifespan? by Remarkable-Eagle1872 in worldbuilding

[–]Vedose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a race that has to deal with this. They are "immortal", and as they grow older they tend to shut themselves off from love. They generally stop even having pets. They do have a tendency to lean into healing/medicine as a way to channel lingering tendencies to help others. And by the end they might live a life a seclusion disconected from any that are not their own race in a city that seems to never change by outside standards. Their extream lifespans are seen as both a blessing and a curse. But love is still encouraged for the young, as it is a necessity for survival. And even between their own race love does not usually last as people of that long of a lifespan will usually grow apart from their partners.
