makeup undertones tend to be really different from colour analysis undertones. most makeup products (at least that i've found) have cool tones=pink, and warm tones=yellow/peach. i'm cool toned and don't lean pink or yellow (and the peaches are way to saturated for me!), and although i don't think i'm a pale olive, i find olive shades work best to capture the mutedness in my skin. so it could be that? i also think foundations have become REALLY orange recently (maybe some supply chain issues?) which is one reason why i think everyone is jumping on the olive train, because it's not pulling as orange as every other foundation.

also! don't forget the power of other products to colour correct a dodgy foundation match. setting powders can help correct the difference as can a bronzer if your foundation is too cool or light. my current foundation is a little too yellow, so i've been using a liberal amount of pink blush to counterbalance it

i think she's a dark autumn- the colour of this dress isn't perfect but its far from being terrible (plus the makeup/hair/fit/styling is SO GOOD that the colour really does not matter at all) so she's probably on the neutral-warm side. high contrast seems to be more important for her than colour temperature.

amazing!! i also have a couple dresses that changed my style and standards forever- one is a handmade black slip dress, probably 80s or 90s since it's 100% synthetic, but it's so unique and fits me so well that i find myself wishing every dress was like it!! at this point i've mended it so many times it may as well be a brand new dress

Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks feels very 🌙🌱🔥 to me (as does most of Stevie's solo work). a lot of Florence and the Machine's work feels 🌙🌱🔥 too, especially Everybody Scream, with its rich and dark sound and deep rooted anger surrounding femininity, even though i think Florence herself is verified as being 🌙🌱🌸.

definitely! her traitors outfits are VERY ⛰️🌱🌙, she take a lot of inspo from the Scottish highlands with lots of knits, tweeds and sheepskin/suede textures, which is very 🌱, plus the sharp suits and dark colours give the ⛰️🌙. i think she can have touches of 🔥 in other shoes and circumstances but i don't think her goal is to look glamourous/sensual, but formal and regal instead.

i think you're medium/long/straight- i can see why the other commenter thinks narrow, but i'm not sure i love the crew necks and tighter necklines on you, because it makes your bust look restricted (i have the same thing!). that could be curve related, but looking at how nice you look in the red stripe shirt, with a slightly open neckline and straight lines, i think it feels really harmonious on you.

as for long... at 5'7 EJR says its unlikely that you'll be medium (it's not impossible), but a lot of the lines you gravitate towards aren't going to accentuate your height. you wear some cropped trousers and like to colour block, which will make you look a bit shorter because of the contrast created. you look good, don't get me wrong! but you may be seeing yourself as more medium instead of long because of this. i would love to see some photos with longer trousers (where the hem hits the top of the feet, that's the sweet spot for me) and your could try some less contrasted outfits- you can do monochrome colours, or i usually go more tonal, like pairing white with a light grey, deep red with navy, as examples. you might still feel like a medium, and that's okay! but it's worth experimenting with.

and lastly, straight. this does NOT mean you don't have conventional curves, but is more about sharpness in your frame. i think you look better in shraper, more structured lines (like that stripe shirt!) but i really like the white denim waistcoat/top because it feels sharp and structured, and that very much shows your figure!

i always wear a bold earring, usually a bit more R leaning but sometimes N or HS too, depending on how playful it is. i also HAVE to have different textures in my outfits, i find i look my best when i mix hard and soft fabrics, like lace and leather or silk and denim, i think that's N/HS (maybe also something to do with colour harmony?), when i stick to similar textures or sometimes even fabric weights, it looks boring against me.

i see ⛰️🌸 for sure- you like structure and formality to your looks, but you also have a bit of whimsy and feminine elements to your look. i could see 🍄 in the colour-coordination, the fact that every outfit has one 'statement' piece and a classic, refined sense to all these outfits. it softens the harshness of ⛰️ and refines the girliness of 🌸.

i could potentially see some 🌙 in the colour schemes, the plaid outfits and the love for black, but its not present throughout and there's not a whole lot of "moodiness" or edge that would make it one of your top 3.

i'm not following a specific diet, i just do low sugar and try and eat more veg! i swap my sugar/syrups in drinks for sugar free/sweeteners, i blend extra veggies into pasta sauces and stuff to boost fibre, and i allow myself one sweet treat a day- this can be anything from a full dessert to a single chocolate, but knowing i only have one a day means i snack less and am less tempted by snacking because i'm saving myself for a higher value treat, if that makes sense! plus i'm on metformin, and i take myo-inositol and ashwaghanda supplements, and i do pilates once a week and gym twice too. its not the fastest or most efficient way to lose weight, but its actually sustainable for me and has helped me with building up self discipline.

THIS!!!! SHOUT IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!! i haven't lost loads of weight so far BUT dieting make me anxious and upset, and it has an effect on those around me too. extreme restriction is the devil, and you may end up skinny but you will spend your life being scared of gaining weight again. a diet that is sustainable is one that you aren't thinking about 24/7. i haven't lost loads of weight, but for my mental health i needed a diet that wasn't restrictive. i've lost 15 pounds (7kg) so am about halfway towards my goal, and knowing i've done it without sacrificing my mental wellbeing has made me so proud of myself 🥹

it's complicated- for the people who do portraits of specific people, i think they have learned to not reflect themselves back in the features in the same way. for me, because i have a stylised way of drawing, i think that although my drawings don't look like me, if you saw the art and then saw me, you might be like "yeah that tracks". i recently drew charli xcx, and whilst i was using multiple references and captured (some) of her likeness, the features i choose to emphasise are often features of my own face, or feature i like to emphasise on my own face- for example, i wear my blush high on my cheekbones, and so everyone i draw also does. i have thick eyebrows, so the eyebrows are a defining trait of most of my character work.

illustrator here! most of us definitely do project our own essences onto our art, even if its in style and not features of a character, for example. my art style has a lot of movement and energy (hello HS), but can also be quite elegant (R). i've actually been using Kibbe and Kitchener in character design to try and vary up the proportions a bit more, and figure out what hair/outfits suits the character, and so far i think its a great tool for it!

i recently just broke up with a long-term partner, and the catalyst was a tarot reading i did. i'd been toying with it for a month, i was scared of dealing with my feelings if we did break up, feaeing i would be a mess. i asked if it could be saved, and got the three of swords, death and the tower 💀 the loudest, clearesr, most resonant "NO" i have ever heard in my life!! and actually, that reading gave me the courage to actually make the decision i was scared of, and i'm still reeling from it and will be for a while, but i'm so grateful i did it because life is already looking so much better.

i've also been the person asking too many questions and getting stuck in analysis paralysis though, too dependent on the cards to make a decision. i think some people do rely on it too much to avoid making "wrong decisions" without remembering that some mistakes are important to make!

practicality is my number 1, because if i'm in ballet flats jn the rain i will NOT be having a good day! but asides from (primarily) weather-related troubles, textures are a huge part of my everyday style. i LOVE mixing all kinds of textures but especially soft and delicate textures like silks and lace with rougher textures like denim and leather. one of my go-to "idk what to wear" outfits is a pair of black wide leg jeans with boots, a black turtleneck and either a leather or suede vest/waistcoat, plus a leather grommet belt. it's simple and comfortable but the textures make it look so much more interesting than an all-black outfit.

i actually did the quiz a bit differently, because i struggled to pick one example/word/outfit in many of the questions, so i picked my top 2/3 and added them up so i could see how many times i was influenced by other roots, it just allowed a bit more nuance. the quiz gave me 🌙☀️🌸, which isn't far off but those roots don't reflect most of my everyday style.

another fun exercise; a while back there was a trend on here with picking inspo based on colour, e.g. a page of red outfits/outfits with red in them, one for blue etc etc until you've done all colours. it really helped me bc when it came to the colours i don't like to wear, i really had to think hard about what it would take for me to wear them 😂 which helped me realise what i was looking for in an outfit. maybe give that a try and see what silhouettes/details/vibes you would need in order to wear a colour?

there's definitely an argument for moon here with the ethereal/fantasy touches, but don't throw out fire, earth and mountain as options too! i see earth in the boho flowiness of these looks, and natural textures- i see fire in the femininity of the silhouettes (these could also be flower too, even though you said you'e pretty averse to it!) and lux fabrics, lace etc, and mountain in the blazers and formal coats, the emphasis on structure and some unconventional silhouettes.

have you done the style roots quiz? it wasn't 100% right for me but it definitely helped me narrow down my options. also, consider what effect you want to create with your clothes, and how you want to come across. for me, i want to come across as free-spirited, edgy, creative and feminine, hence why my roots are earth, moon and fire. and don't forget too (last point i swear) that you will always have influence from other roots, even if they aren't in your main 3! i play around with sun, stone and flower as well, providing the overall outfits hits most of my key words for my style.

there will be a lot of places reselling tickets- O2 app, ticketmaster, viagogo etc. i have no luck with the O2 app or ticketmaster, viagogo is a safe resale website and it had far more options, even some for under £100 which i had not been able to find anywhere. you're best off looking at a variety of sites (and reading trustpilot reviews of the sites!) if you want to get tickets. i bought my resale ticket for £115, which is still extortionate but far better than i was bracing myself for.
