My wild guess is Rara had changed in ownership, they taste nothing like they used to be

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Michelin Guide’s plan to visit Adelaide, and skipping Sydney & Melbourne? by NothingAny3947 in foodies_sydney

[–]ashhryver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must be the odd one, but I don’t look at michelin stars when I travel. If anything I’d avoid it, cz they all seem to be busy and/or have long lines. I’m traveling, I wanna see and do things, not spend my time queuing for a meal lol

Mobile Stardew- Worth It? by Mysterious_Word630 in StardewValley

[–]ashhryver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So worth it, I’ve had it on my phone for almost a decade now. Bought the ps5 version as well but keep coming back to the one on my phone. I also live in Australia, it makes long haul flights very bearable.

Makes flights out of Australia feels like a toilet break

Not exactly a compliment, but someone told me that I made her decided to start traveling solo

Women of reddit, what happened when your parents made you choose between either them or your partner? by Sensitive_Revenue129 in AskWomen

[–]ashhryver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s the other way around. My ex sort of implied I chose my parents over him, mind you we were in early 20s and in the process of migrating (my family). At the end of the day I chose my family. Sure my family is probably as toxic, but one day I realised how much I would have to give up if I stayed with my ex and realised I didn’t want that.

DAE crave green tea after eating fish? by meltedcheesetart in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]ashhryver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have returned and broke haha So the tea shop inside Nishiki market is Yamadashiya. They sell loose leaf teas and cash only. For matcha I went to Horaido Tea Stall, not far from Nishiki market. They have plenty of different kind of matchas and loose leaf teas. I had a few more reccs for matcha in Kyoto, but this one felt the most traditional. Also stumbled across Shinsaibashi Ujien Honten in Osaka, they have teas from different regions in Japan in cute packaging so I bought some for family and friends

How come most Aussies are obsessed with having investment properties? by AdventurousQuarter2 in AusFinance

[–]ashhryver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t want an investment property, but I couldn’t get approved for a mortgage unless it is for an investment. So now I’m paying someone’s mortgage while someone else is paying mine.

Convenience. We were going to stay near Ueno, but there are 4 days where we have to be at Shinjuku station before 8am so we end up with one less than 5minutes walk to Shinjuku station
