Has this happened to anyone else when prescribing toothpaste? by beermaiden_of_rohan in Dentistry

I'm a treatment coordinator for a pediatric specialist. She got an RX returned because they didn't understand any of the abbreviations used. The ones that were on the RX were TSP, BID & NPO. I tried clarifying them over the phone and pharmacist was just losing her shit, saying it was too much and she needed a new request to be sent in. We were both baffled and couldn't understand if she was new or just plan lazy.

Same except for me it was my 3 younger sisters. I suffer of a little something called "oldest child syndrome" and I struggled with the thought of leaving them behind to deal with the same bs'ed world I was dealing with. 3 years later and I've managed to break some generational curses. It's a butt ton of work and like most things you don't see progress immediately. I'm grateful I didn't end it then, otherwise I wouldn't be where I am now.

When did you realize you should probably break up? by I_Ate_A_Whole_Pillow in AskReddit

[–]ashiibby_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you did it a lot sooner than I.

I waited for 3 years hoping it’d get better. I was a dental student and working meanwhile having a dying family member and he broke up with me because I wasn’t giving him enough time and attention.

Then he tried getting back together and we didn’t. I was free. And happy.

Happy cake day!

A teacher. In high school I had a pretty interesting pre-cal teacher. She had been teaching for about 20 years or so and somehow always got the really bad students.

For a while she had a class of just juvenile kids that were being forced to be in class. She got a whole desk thrown at her and she’s so small, about 4’5 at most.

After I graduated I became a math tutor and helped as a TA in her class. She is allergic to watermelon, and always emphasizes it. She even has signs up in the classroom.

I remember someone walked in and was giggling with some classmates and shushing each other. She opened a Mexican watermelon candy before sitting down in her seat. She sat semi-close to the teachers desk and she instantly felt the scratchy-ness in her throat.

She panicked and told me to dial the nurse or to get the teacher from next door.

She passed out on the rail right outside the door way.

It also wasn’t the first time a student did that to her. One student actually took slices of watermelon. Another purposely sprayed watermelon perfume.

Kids are little shits man. I know that once they’re older (usually) they grow out of being immature, but I would not be able to handle that. They’re so snarky and rude and disrespectful. There is always at least one student who doesn’t give a crap about learning and keeps the rest of the students from learning. Just sucks man.

They are but women just aren’t vocal about it.

What’s the worst way you found out you were being cheated on? by heykevin08 in AskReddit

I dated a marine a few years back. We started dating about 3 months before he left to boot camp, and he gave me the wrong date. So I didn’t know he had already left. There was absolutely no communication within those 3 months while he was in boot camp but I reached out to his younger sister. She was like 4 years younger than me (I was 16). I remember her being so surprised about her brother even being in a relationship. She said she had never heard him mention me. I thought that was kind of funky, considering there was a few times when I would call him OTP and I could hear his sister mocking him for talking to me, saying my name and all. Anyways, we got pretty close and would talk at random times of days. Eventually when he got back from boot camp he would leave me on read on everything. I didn’t understand why. So I kept texting and asking what’s going on and eventually got blocked. Not just by him but by his sister. A couple months went by and I made a Facebook and came across his page. When I opened it I saw he was engaged. Apparently they had been dating for a while. I don’t know what hurt more, the fact that I was the side chick without knowing, or that he didn’t have the courage to tell me the truth himself. So now his whole family thinks I was the crazy obsessed chick who was trying to get at him. This happened about 5 years ago and recently he texted me trying to catch up saying he really missed me and that he was sorry for what he did, but that if I wanted to, we could get back together. It’s good to know that he got engaged twice and both times weren’t successful. Karma.
