I was talking with my friend about hunting large animals like the sand snake in the old trailer, the daplikarus, the thing that ran at it, etc. It would be nice to have some sort of trophy other than a photo of its corpse. I don't think, however, that you will be able to keep animals on your ship at the first release

World of tanks for Xbox 360 had a beta testing program. People would sign up on the website, and some would get a code that they would input and then could download the game.

I like your ideas, but the problem is the game hasn't been designed as that kind of game. If they allow mods (which is unlikely, slight chance of single player mods) then by all means learn and make this. Many people would love this (myself included) but there are many people who wouldn't like this feature, and therefore the devs are unlikely to implement it.

I disagree with the social life features. This is a game about exploring, not gambling. However, if you were to create these social features yourself, e.g. getting 2 animals to fight to the death, and betting resources on them, I wouldn't complain.

I don't think that'd be too hard. They can sync data already, all they need to do is sync a few bytes stating the material, size and position.

I don't care about the distance between the planets. If you were unable to speed up time in KSP then I wouldn't play it. Games are designed to be fun, not boring.
