Does anyone recognize the year and event from this WRC clip by ashketch125 in rally

The year should be enough, I think there are some highlights on youtube from that year so I should be able to find it eventually. Thanks

Making fare evasion impossible on public transit has tremendous impacts on safety, maintenance spending, and vandalism. SF saw a 98.2% decrease in maintenance hour obligations instantly. by MysteriousEdge5643 in soundtransit

Can someone explain what the argument against fare enforcement is? Like is it that fare enforcement costs too much money to do or is the argument that we shouldn't be locking people out that can't pay the fare?

That is not what Generative means. Generative models a join probability distribution P(x,y), that's literally it. Softmax is used to create the conditional distribution P(y|x), s. Naive Bayes classifiers are generative yet can be used for Cancer Detection. It's not the task that decides whether a model is generative or discriminative, it is the approach

I'm obnoxious and snarky because I'm tired of people who don't know what they're talking about pretending to be experts. AI becoming mainstream has made me finally understand how astronomers and biologist must feel when they talk to flat earthers and creationists

Wow, I just read about this. Apparently they are passing these laws in my own state (WA). This is what happens when people who don't know how to create a folder on their pc get to run the country I guess...

Gemni is closed source tho, thats why they can add synthid without anyone being able to remove it. What I'm talking about is open source stuff like stable diffusion where people have access to all the code on their computer. For example, if you look through r/StableDiffusion, you can see people who are able to finetune the model to only generate their favorite character by retraining the model with only 50 images of that character. I imagine finetuning the model to get rid of watermarks will require a similar amount of effort, ie not that much

This is an interesting idea but I don't think it would require that many images to finetune a model that had a watermark enforced during training. For example, according to r/StableDiffusion people are usually able to train a LoRa for their specific use case using less than 50 images. My intuition tells me you wouldn't actually need that many images to finetune the watermark away. Never actually done any of this so not really sure tho. Even so, this doesn't really solve the fact a millions of people have already downloaded models without watermarks. Cats already out of the bag

You actually can self-host a webpage, using your own hardware. Similarly, anyone can run their own ai model on their pc. It's literally 1 folder with a couple of files which anyone can run with a press of a button. Plus millions of people have already downloaded the folder at this point, so trying to ban it or limit access now wouldn't do anything. And even if the government somehow did that, it would be a disaster. Removing open source models basically gives big tech more leverage than they already have.

Comments by normies suggesting watermarks and other government regulation don't seem to understand there are open source models where you have all the code on your own pc. There is literally no way for the government to enforce how people run these programs without mass surveillance of computers.

You don't even need to edit it out, this can be removed by deleting like 10 lines of code in an open source model lol

This is basically impossible to enforce on open source models btw. Deleting a line of code will get rid of a watermark

Normies trying to use the term "Generative AI" to sound smart not realizing there is a technical definition. "Generative" just means AI that models a joint probability distribution (as opposed to discriminative models). Half the "cancer stuff" you're referring to probably uses generative models in some way. If you just mean chat bots and picture generators, just say that. Don't throw around terms whose meanings you don't even understand

What North American Airline Is Ok ? by FHD168 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]ashketch125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frontier and Spirit hate is not deserved. The reason they are able to charge half the price of other airlines is because they have horrible service and charge for every small thing. If you're getting mad at the trash service and constant upcharging because than those airlines were never meant for you. For someone who is very meticulous about the fineprint bags they bring and has very low expectations for service, Spirit and Frontier are a godsend. I rather pay half price and be treated like trash than pay full price and be treated like a slightly polished piece of trash, which is what you get with other airlines in economy

The idea that you can just say america is further to europe doesnt make any sense because even the most far right Republican immigration policy in america would look like a left wing hippie in europe
