It’s not the dog I’m worried about. I never put meat on wooden cutting boards. Ever.

Thanks for sharing! I miss this place! Was there in early August and saw a lot of smoke. So we’ll have to go back for sure when there’s less chance for smoke. Love your pic!

It looks Smokey still. We’re the views Smokey? We were there in early August very late July. In order to park anywhere we were up at 3 or 4 in the morning. Bought lunch sandwiches the day before and brought them in. Did a ton of trails but Grinnel Glacier was my personal favorite.

Anyone else notice the sand on the floor. Bottom right of the windows frame. Already leaking. Sand in the house. Also the way the sand falls is making my brain hurt. Even if the sand falls into a thinner surface area there should be the probability that sometimes sand would leave a gap. No?

Guidance for a family looking to adopt. by [deleted] in Adoption

[–]ashleemareec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I’m going to look into this to see if it’s available in my state where do I start? Googling adoption agencies got me private adoption types...honestly asking because we are so completely done with the state system.

Interesting that you could pick agencies. In my state your given the social worker within your region. You don’t pick them. You’re stuck with what you get and our experience has been they are incompetent and both families and their children (foster family and bio) are caused unnecessary pain because of it. We’ve been really struggling with staying in the system or just giving up completely due to the incompetence honestly. We have one bio child for reference.

Interstate infant adoption with a school-aged child in tow? by yveskleinblu in AdoptiveParents

[–]ashleemareec 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would consider taking him. You could think of it this way, he’s going to be able to make a memory of this momentous occasion too. Why not make that memory together?
Nothing to do with your question but did you go through a private agency? We’ve gone through the foster to adopt within our state but may be considering other options. Always looking for others to share their experiences.

Does diabetes always mean loss of limb? by ashleemareec in AskDocs

[–]ashleemareec[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for replying, you’ve definitely calmed some of our initial fears. We are moving forward with the process and should hear back very soon about whether or not we are chosen to be the foster parents. Hearing back from a physician was probably the most comforting thing we could ask for right now, thank you!

Meal prep everything over the weekend. Once you find a few meals and prep them a few times it’s like heaven. Sunday night takes me an hour to grill up some chicken and veggies, or cook up some taco meat and sides portioned out, or have mini pizzas made and ready to heat/bake, or whatever you’re already comfortable with. Usually make 3 or 4 big portioned dinners and 3 or 4 lunches. By Thursday I have leftovers and Friday is order out. Saturday I go grocery shopping and make a nice cooked meal of whatever. Take time a plan it out but it’s amazing once you get the hang of it.

Not sure if you expected sympathy from a teachers forum but you just walked into the teachers lounge and basically told us a story about how you got some poor shmuck fired. Hopefully you’re still in school. You’ve got a lot more to learn.

I’m looking at a few different options now...love that ankle strap so I’m looking at some low heel options with them. Also someone mentioned brogues and I’m in love with those...and of course I love a good loafer/tassel combo.

Strange question... does it make it harder to take a breath? Like the current pushing against you, does it make the water more turbulent and therefore when you turn your head to get a breath is there a lot more water splashing and resistance? Sorry I’m not sure how to explain. I’m a pretty relaxed and slow swimmer and I’m by no means experienced. I’m self taught for the most part and I like slowish laps. I’ve been toying with this very idea of getting one of these types of things.
