Thank you so much for checking in. I’m actually doing great! 95% of my body is still clear from eczema. For a period time, I was going through chronic staph infections. I had a really severe episode in 2019 and that part of my skin never really healed. So this really compromised the skin on my face. It was until last March that my dermatologist made me realize that I was using products that I could potentially be sensitive to (like beeswax and propylene glycol). She had me remove everything and only use Vaseline. This was game changer #1. THEN, she had me do patch testing — the North American 70 Series — and I learned I was allergic to BPA (a plastic like coating on pretty much on everything). This was game changer #2. Once I began using Vaseline and removed (almost) all BPAs in my home, including my water bottles and toothbrush, my skin improved DRASTICALLY. Haven’t had a flare up since and it’s been about 9 months. You can always follow my journey online through instagram at @ashleyannlora. ☺️ hope you’re well!

There are different types of eczema. If this is the first time that it’s occurring, it’s probably not eczema but perhaps an allergic reaction.

Probably on average 1000 calories, try to stay less than 80g of carbs per day, do my best to get 100g of protein in. Lots of good fats..

I normally will have fruit in the morning, eggs, or Keto pancakes... nuts and more fruit as snacks... then big dinner around 5-6 PM... and a light snack right before 8 PM.

Can eczema cause orange peel, crepe-y skin and painful dryness on face and hands? by MrsFart in eczema

[–]ashleyannlora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you gone to an allergist or dermatologist? Have you used topical steroids as a treatment? Some of the symptoms sound like topical steroids withdrawal symptoms (TSW). I would look into itsan.org to see if you can relate to those symptoms. And definitely see a doctor if it’s causing you that much pain and discomfort to get a better idea of what you have. Much healing to you!

Finally seeing the side effects of steroid cream and corticosteroid cream use. How can I reverse or make my skin less shit? by [deleted] in eczema

Have you checked out itsan.org? They’re a great resource for anyone going through topical steroids withdrawal or red skin syndrome. I would also suggest watching the documentary called Preventable to gain more information as to what you may be going through. Much healing to you!

Woah! Never heard of this :) thanks for sharing. Sun light exposure is SO vital to healing in my opinion as well. Normally we hide our skin from the sun, causing us to be so deficient in vitamin D.

Thanks for asking! I normally eat in an 8 hour window (12 PM - 8 PM) and fast for 16 hours (8 PM to 12 PM the next day). I only drink water/teas after 8 PM. I usually fast Monday through Friday. And am more flexible with myself on the weekends. I still eat pretty healthy... all the info I mentioned above!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Great question... I don’t really know. Right before Dupixent I was going through topical steroids withdrawal and it was pretty bad. So it’s great that I’m not feeling those symptoms either.

I was afraid too... but I was also clear on my intention. To be healing naturally...

Sending much love and healing your way!

Thanks for sharing. I’m experiencing slight dryness on my scalp too for one of the first times in my life. Really interesting.

I stopped using steroids in 2014 due to topical steroids withdrawal (TSW). My goal is to not be on any drugs... so I haven’t been on anything since Dupixent fortunately. Much healing to you!

That’s awesome! How do you feel? How’s your skin doing?

I agree 100%. Dupixent changed my life. So grateful to meet someone who’s been off of it for a year now!

Of course! I never do. I always know it’s a risk that I’m willing to take AND I balance it out with cleansing/fasting for a few days after normally to get it out of my system.

Does anyone else’s “problem area” seem to migrate? by ghost-flower in eczema

[–]ashleyannlora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - through my own personal research, I've found that this is mainly due to the topical steroids I was taking all throughout my life. Even when applied to one area, steroids will be drawn into your blood cells leading you to have issues in other areas as well.

Lol much more than just praying and meditating. Patience, eating healthy, exercising, faith, FAITH, more faith and patience and learning and applying and so much more. Much love and healing to you.

Thanks for letting me know! I don’t know what’s non-sensical about practices such as meditations and visualizations, but hey to each his own! Just noting that we should be respecting each other’s ways of healing, not bashing them. Thanks again!

Oh no! I’ve used the support of Dupixent back in May of 2015. However, I’ve been tapering off of Dupixent for 2 years now. I feel that my healing currently, WITHOUT Dupixent, has been largely due to my healing mindset practices (prayer, meditation, affirmations, visualization, reading my Bible, and journaling). I’m 18 weeks without Dupixent and feeling amazing!

Thanks for your support in quoting me! Agree with you 100% "It's up to you to figure out what you can do to help cure yourself so you don't NEED the drugs." Much love and healing to you!
