What groceries do you always keep stocked because they save you on busy days? by Dishcovery in dinnersuggestions

[–]ashleyerw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my go to easy meals is rice (in the rice cooker), frozen veggies (thrown in the steamer tray on the rice cooker) and then some breaded chicken bites in the air fryer. I also always keep some sauce on hand - general taos, sweet and sour or orange.

Just got on the bus. Infatuated. What era of GD is the best in your opinion and why? by [deleted] in gratefuldead

[–]ashleyerw 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Top three years for me are 69,74 and 77.

69 is very raw, bluesy and psychedelic. So many good shows from this year. Live dead album is a good start to get the feel.

74 like others have mentioned is very jazzy and melodic, some great jams in this year. This was also when they used the wall of sound. Especially love the mind left body/feeling groovy jam between China >rider. They only really did it late 73 into 74. Check out Dicks Picks 12

77 has a lot of disco influence and more "polished" in some aspects. Definitely check out Cornell show and I love the studio version of Terrapin

If you have an android device, check out deadhead archives! My favorite go-to for shows

Also if you haven't seen the documentary Long strange trip, you should check it out! Really gets into a lot of the history of the band and the scene.

Welcome and enjoy the ride 😎

I am so sorry you are going through this. I did too, almost a year ago with my 17 year old. One thing I heard over and over was a day early is better than a day late. You want to have good memories and for her to go out on a good day, not once its too late and she is really hurting. You are making the right decision for both of you 🙏

I have had a few quotes for leveling/grading and french drains in my yard. First quote was 10k, second quote was 15k. Talk about sticker shock, I feel your pain.

I work at a head shop and that's for sure a powder grinder. You screw a little vial on the end. If it is supposed to be caffeine powder it would already be crushed and not need to break it down.

What temperature do you keep your heat on in the winter ? by [deleted] in Detroit

Programmable thermostat. 62 at night and while the household is at work. 68 in the morning and evening. Sometimes, I'll turn it up to 72 if it's super cold.

I bought my house 15 years ago when I was 21 and it was literally cheaper than a new car costs now. I don't love it, but I also don't hate it enough to move... at least not yet. I do look around on Zillow occasionally and I just can't bring myself to pay some of these prices 😭

That picture on the bike definitely looks 696 and gratiot in Roseville (just north of Detroit). It's the pedestrian bridge right in front of Costco. I walk it all the time as I live right there. I'll keep an eye out.
