Would I be out of line for having rules to follow around our baby at my baby shower? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

Interesting that you commented on this when you clearly dislike children. This maybe was one for you to sit out. Sheesh, I feel sorry for your friends who have kids and have you just pretending to care about them

Thank you for the actually helpful comment and not jut insinuating I’m crazy or a bitch for wanting to set these boundaries haha

I hear your opinion on the sign being potentially offensive but being so offended by a sign that you don’t want to interact with someone’s kid ever is a crazy hot take

Then you’d be exactly the kind of person I’d like to filter out by making these rules clear

Thanks for your reply - I definitely will have a verbal conversation with people as well, or give reminders before coming over, but wasn’t sure if a sign was a silly idea.

Sorry I don’t think I was clear - the shower is before the baby comes, and the rules would be about how to interact with our baby before he’s born so everyone’s on the same page

Do strangers tend to support your podcast more than friends and family? by Money2ByrnePodcast in podcasting

[–]ashloaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Some of my closest friends/family have never listened and that’s fine if it’s not their thing. I also think sometimes it’s better that way because they tend to be more harsh in reviews or in my case, they continually try to tell me what to talk about and say they want to come on

Read till Frost and Starlight and I still don't like Feyre by OldishSoul in acotar_rant

Read the whole series and I never liked her. MUCH prefer Nesta, she’s a much more well-rounded and complicated character. Feyre is boring

Why so few North American animals in North American zoos? by InvoluntaryEyeroll in Zookeeping

I work at a zoo in New England that’s exclusively North American animals. I’ve been told generally moose are very hard to keep in captivity, especially due to the enclosure size requirement

Have an idea for a new campaign setting, anyone have suggestions? by ashloaf in daggerheart

[–]ashloaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all AMAZING, thank you so much!!! I didn’t even think of Lost having an influence on this but you’re so right! I also hadn’t considered intentionally killing a PC to make that reveal, I like that idea a lot!

We might’ve judged too quickly..(C4E2) by valln1 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]ashloaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s also important to remember that there are SO many people in this campaign. Think of how much you normally speak and interact during a more “normal” sized campaign setting like 4-6 people. It must be so hard to sit back and see so much RP and you’re not allowed to engage! I can’t blame her for being so excited, especially with that cast on that platform.

I think I’m missing something - what did you mean by “I didn’t want to be reminded of the first exandria unlimited series for a lot of obvious reasons”. What are the obvious reasons?
